Abstract: The invention relates to an anode retainer for cathodic corrosion protection apparatuses of foundation pipes of offshore wind turbines, comprising: a metal cylinder ring having a longitudinal axis and an outside and an inside, wherein a plurality of positioning devices for concentrically self-positioning, in particular without tools, and fixing, in particular in a force-closed manner, the cylinder ring on a foundation pipe under gravity while interacting with corresponding positioning projections located on the outside of the foundation pipe is provided on the inside or the cylinder ring over the circumference, to a foundation pipe of an offshore wind turbine, characterized in that a plurality of positioning projections is provided on the outside of said foundation pipe over a cylinder ring area and a connecting structure therebetween, to a cathodic corrosion protection device for foundation pipes of offshore wind turbines, and to an offshore wind turbine having the same.

Abstract: A media player device configured to store and play content for a user uses an implicit rank to add and delete content from the device. The rank is determined implicitly by gathering available information about a user directly and by monitoring user listening activity. The gathered information about the user and the monitored information are used to determine the user rank. Content is managed by comparing content stored on the media player device to the user rank to determine a preference order for storing content on the device; receiving content at the media player device; deleting one or more stored content objects from a computer readable storage medium so there is sufficient space to store the received content; and storing the received content on the computer readable storage medium.

Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a method and/or a system for recovering from an OS crash caused by unsuccessful event notification to a client that is typically a third party program. After the recovery from such crash, the present invention is also drawn to a method and/or a system for avoiding such OS crash in the future. Specifically, the crash recovery steps include recording the current position of the client on a client list kept by the OS. The current position is recorded in a memory location impervious to OS crashes and system reset. Once the OS crash and reboot are completed, the persistently stored current position is accessed to identified the client that was notified prior to the OS crash. The identified client is designated as an errant client, namely a client whose notification might trigger an OS crash. In turn, the errant client is removed from either the notification list or the computer system in order to prevent the client from triggering any future OS crash.

Abstract: An electronic software distribution (ESD) method is provided for digitally distributing a software application. The method starts by receiving a set of user data, and then generates from the user data a digital hardware signature having a hardware identification attribute. The digital hardware signature is then appended to a software application to generate a software application package. The digital hardware signature assures that the software application package is fully executable only on a hardware device having a matching hardware identification attribute.

Abstract: A method for digital rights management is provided. The method is used for managing the right to use a digital software application having a main code component including application code and data resources. The method generates a security component including a hardware identification attribute and appends the security component to the main code component to form a software application package. When the software application package is installed on a hardware device, the security component enables the software application only if the hardware identification attribute is also present in the hardware device.
