    Abstract: A vertical filing assembly in which a number of hanging, expandable compartments may be slidably suspended behind and above one another in a step-like manner. The compartments are configured so that the top edge of the back panel of each compartment is higher than the top edge of its front panel which, in turn, is at least as high as the back panel of the compartment in front of it.
