Publication number: 20240108265Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods and systems for generating a void profile for user void events. The method includes receiving by a processing element a plurality of outputs from a fluid level sensor corresponding to a plurality of levels of fluid flowing through a voiding device during a flow event; determining by the processing element a beginning and an end time of the fluid flow into the voiding device during the flow event; analyzing the plurality of outputs of the fluid level sensor over a time interval defined by the beginning and end time of the fluid flow to determine at least one of a fluid flow rate data and an accumulated volume data for the fluid flowing through the voiding device; and storing the fluid flow rate data and the accumulated flow volume data in a memory.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Brent Laing, John Green, Paul R. Johnson, Robert John Smith, Robert Edwin Schneider, Magnus Hargis, Elise Geolat Edson, Elizabeth A. O'Brien

Patent number: 11925465Abstract: Uroflowmeters and methods for processing data generated therefrom are disclosed. In one aspect, the uroflowmeter is a handheld device. The uroflowmeter includes a handle, a flow chamber coupled to the handle, and a sensor associated with the flow chamber that detects a parameter of urine received in the flow chamber. The uroflowmeter may include both reusable and disposable components. As a uroflowmeter it can identify and record data corresponding to the rate of flow over the measured duration of a void of urine, but may also timestamp the voiding act and communicate the data to an external data collection center for additional analysis and incorporation into a comprehensive voiding report or voiding diary.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2019Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: ClearTrac Technologies, LLCInventors: Brent Laing, John Green, Paul R. Johnson, Robert John Smith, Robert Edwin Schneider, Magnus Hargis, Elise Geolat Edson, Elizabeth A. O'Brien, Joseph L. Kapushion

Patent number: 11534093Abstract: The test lab set-up includes a test flow bench for mounting one or more test devices, an adjustable nozzle for simulating urine flow, and a sensor for collecting data associated with the simulated urine flowing through the test device(s). A computing device for measuring and/or calculating various parameters associated with the simulated urine flow may also be included. The test device may have a shape corresponding to a handheld uroflowmeter subject to testing. The angle of the adjustable nozzle may be adjusted to test for various angles of urine flow. Similarly, the angle, pitch, and roll of the test device may be adjusted to test for various angles at which a uroflowmeter is held. As fluid flows through the test device, the sensor collects information such as, for example, flow rate, duration, volume, and the like. The sensor transmits the data collected to a computing device for additional processing.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2019Date of Patent: December 27, 2022Assignee: ClearTrac Technologies, LLCInventors: Brent Laing, John Green, Paul R. Patent number: 10772800Abstract: A disposable pump cartridge for a compounder system is provided. The cartridge may include a plurality of controllable fluid pathways and a piston for pumping fluid and/or vapors through selected ones of the fluid pathways. The cartridge may include a plurality of valves operable to select particular pathways from the plurality of pathways. The fluid pathways may be formed from a portion of a cartridge frame and a sealing membrane disposed on the cartridge frame. A cartridge bezel disposed over the sealing membrane may include openings that provide access to the valves. The valves and the piston may be operated by a pump drive of the compounder system. The bezel may include additional openings that provide access to ports within the cartridge for receiving diluents or for providing waste. Portions of the sealing membrane within the additional openings in the bezel may be configured to receive a needle therethrough.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2016Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: CareFusion 303, Inc.Inventors: Christopher J. Zollinger, George Michel Mansour, Robert Edwin Schneider

Patent number: 10772799Abstract: A pump drive for an automatic drug compounder may be provided. The pump drive may include a pump head assembly with a plurality of operational mechanisms controllable to operate a pump cartridge to pump fluids through the cartridge to a vial containing a drug, or to pump a reconstituted drug to a receiving container. The pump drive may include a vial lift vial grip configured to retrieve the vial from a vial tray and lift the vial such that a needle assembly of the pump cartridge extends into the vial through sealing membranes of the cartridge and a vial puck attached to the vial. The pump head assembly may be rotatable to agitate and/or invert the vial. The operational mechanism may include an eccentric drive for driving a piston pump of the cartridge and a plurality of valve actuators for operating valves of the pump cartridge.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2016Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: CareFusion 303, Inc.Inventors: Robert Edwin Schneider, Sara Little, Ray Feith
