  • Publication number: 20120085357
Abstract: A device for impeding a person from assuming a supine position in bed or other resting support includes a cushion support and movement restriction means fixable at the cushion support and a user. The cushion support designed for being placed on a resting support such as a bed. When user's head is resting on a cushion disposed on or in the cushion support, the user cannot turn from one lateral position to the other lateral position via a supine position but may turn so via an abdominal position. The cushion support includes a flexible cover and a stiffening means disposed in the cover. The stiffening means can be inserted into the cover and removable therefrom. The device includes also first connection means having an extension in the cover in the transverse direction thereof and an extension outside the cover at both sides of the user. The first connection means is coupled with the stiffening means for connection of the movement restriction means.

  • Patent number: 6698432
Abstract: A device against snoring which prevents a patient from assuming a supine position but allows the patient to move between lateral positions comprises a pillow which can be positioned on the resting area of a bed or other place for sleeping. The pillow comprises a pillow element and a rigid tensioning element disposed between the pillow element and the resting area. The tensioning element protrudes laterally at both sides of the pillow element and comprises, on its protruding portions, fixation organs in each of which one of two flexible fixation means that are fastened on a upper body clothing of the patient are fixable by their free end portions. The fixation means are fastened on the clothing at areas corresponding to the left and right lateral portions, respectively, of the latissimus dorsi. Also disclosed is a corresponding upper body clothing.

  • Publication number: 20020189621
Abstract: A device against snoring which prevents a patient (1) from assuming a supine position but allows the patient to change between lateral positions comprises a pillow which can be positioned on the resting area (5) of a bed or other place for sleeping. The pillow comprises a pillow element (6) and a rigid tensioning element (11) disposed between the pillow element (6) and the resting area (5). The pillow element (6) extends laterally from both sides of the pillow element (8) and comprises, on its extending portions (17,18), fixation organs (19,20) at each of which one of two flexible fixation means (23,24) that are fastened on a upper body clothing (25) are fixable with their free end portions (21,22). The fixation means (23,24) are fastened at the clothing (25) at areas (at 30) corresponding to the left and right lateral portions, respectively, of the latissimus dorsi. Also disclosed is a corresponding upper body clothing (25).

  • Patent number: 6209544
Abstract: A restraining device includes an article of dress (3) or a harness, which is put on or fastened around at least one part of the body. Two parts (4, 5) of a strap of about the same length extend from the backside of the article of dress (3) or the harness and outwards to the two sides (9) of the bed. In order to prevent a person being in bed from turning his body in one of the other directions from a position lying on the stomach to a position lying on the back, said strap parts (4, 5) are attached along the entire backside of the article of dress (3) or harness or are attached to the sides (6) of the article of dress (3) or harness.

  • Patent number: 4722152
Abstract: An automatic sharpening of the slide surface of a skate to desired profile with regard to at least two dimensions x and y in a coordinate system is disclosed. A grinding wheel is by guide means movable in x-direction in the longitudinal direction of the slide surface and by guide means movable in y-direction. Firstly, a scanning of the existing profile of the slide surface is carried out by means of the grinding wheel which with a substantially constant abutment pressure forceably is moved along the slide surface, during which movement the x- and y-coordinates of the profile are continuously recorded in a memory. After eventual correction of the coordinates in the memory the grinding is carried out by forcing the grinding wheel in rotating state to repeat the recorded coordinates upon impulses from the memory.
