  • Patent number: 9555732
Abstract: Disclosed are hinged and non-hinged bunk board cover systems for mating over a bunk board component of a watercraft trailer. An exemplary hinged embodiment includes a main contact surface component sized to substantially cover a top surface of the bunk board component and a pair of side fastener surface components connected to the main contact surface component via a pair of hinge components. The main contact surface component, hinge components and side fastener surface components may be co-extruded into a single, “cut to length” ribbon that can be formed into a bulk roll. It is envisioned that certain embodiments may be constructed from thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 9401978
Abstract: A system for providing telematics to a vehicle is provided. The system includes an integrated communication device of the vehicle having a memory holding a list uniquely identifying at least one mobile communication device. The system includes a telematics component that is communicatively connected to the integrated communication device of the vehicle and has a data pump that sends out a request for information. An off-site telematics information provider receives a request for information from the telematics component utilizing a communications path between the data pump of the telematics component and the off-site telematics information provider. The at least one mobile communication device automatically receives a channeled response to the request for information from the off-site telematics information provider when connected to the integrated communication device.

  • Publication number: 20050268559
Abstract: A door seal system is provided for forming a seal between a closed door and its door frame. The system includes a unitary co-extruded seal member having first and second legs connected by a flexible hinge. A traditional flexible seal is formed along one leg and, preferably, a strip of intumescent material is formed along the other leg. The member can be folded flat along the hinge line for rolling into a compact storage and shipping configuration. For installation, a length is pulled from the roll, cut off, bent into a right angle along the hinge, and fixed to the door frame with one leg extending along the jamb and the other extending along the stop. The flexible seal bears and seals against the outside face of a closed door and the intumescent strip is positioned in the gaps between the door edges and the door frame.

  • Publication number: 20050204657
Abstract: A door assembly includes a frame with brick mold, a threshold, and a door panel. A plastic member is mounted to the frame and the plastic member defines a flashing strip, a nailing fin, and a tear-away construction cover that protects a portion of the frame, such as the brick mold, from damage during construction. After construction, the construction cover is torn away to reveal the protected clean and undamaged brick mold.

  • Publication number: 20050170129
Abstract: A commercial floor mat has a plurality of aluminum rails arranged in closely spaced side-by-side relationship and connected together by hinged connectors beneath the rails. Each rail has a pair of downwardly facing grooves on its underside extending along respective edges of the rail. Each connector has a flexible central web and a pair of spaced upstanding tabs disposed in the downwardly facing grooves of adjacent rails. The tabs have flexible barb-shaped ribs extending along their opposed faces to anchor the tabs in the grooves with a friction fit. The flexible central webs of the connectors facilitate hinged movement of connected rails to permit the mat to be rolled onto itself into a compact configuration.

  • Publication number: 20050144865
Abstract: A sill pan system is provided for installation along the bottom plate of a framed-in window or door opening to prevent water leakage. The system includes end pieces that are fitted in the bottom corners of the opening and a central web that spans, partially overlaps, and is adhered to the end pieces. The central web is formed of a transparent or translucent plastic to allow visual confirmation that a good seal is formed between the overlapping portions of the web and end pieces. The web is formed with inside flanges and flashing strips that are connected with flexible hinges so that web material can be rolled into a roll. The components may be formed with an abrasion resistant upper surface cladding and the central web may be formed with longitudinally extending drain channels for directing water to the ends of the pan for drainage.

  • Patent number: 5661936
Abstract: A method of attaching extruded cellular plastic panels together to form structures comprises the steps of coextruding the cellular panel with a noncellular high impact section that forms a channel or keyway. Keys are received in the keyways of adjacent panels and hold the panels together to form specified shapes.
