Patent number: 11943319Abstract: Systems and methods for isolating applications associated with multiple tenants within a computing platform receive a request from a client associated with a tenant for running an application on a computing platform. Hosts connected to the platform are associated with a network address and configured to run applications associated with multiple tenants. A host is identified based at least in part on the request. One or more broadcast domain(s) including the identified hosts are generated. The broadcast domains are isolated in the network at a data link layer. A unique tenant identification number corresponding to the tenant is assigned to the broadcast domains. In response to launching the application on the host: the unique tenant identification number is assigned to the launched application and is added to the network address of the host; and the network address of the host is sent to the client associated with the tenant.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2023Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Greg DeArment, Divyanshu Arora, Jason Hoch, Mark Elliot, Matthew Williamson, Robert Kruszewski, Steven Austin

Patent number: 11930015Abstract: A system and method for authenticating users of a data processing platform stores a mapping of a unique user platform identifier to multiple user identity provider identifiers associated with multiple realms for a same user. In some examples, the method includes receiving a request from a client device to establish an access session to perform one or more actions on data of the data processing platform and receiving, from at least one of the first external identity provider of the first realm or the second external identity provider of the second realm, a user identity provider identifier associated with the request. In certain examples, the method includes granting permission to perform the one or more actions on the data of the data processing platform based at least in part on the received user identity provider identifier.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Lili Yang, Mark Elliot, Lam Tran, Robert Kruszewski, Divyanshu Arora

Publication number: 20230002057Abstract: A passenger seating installation for a vehicle comprises a front seat located adjacent a bulkhead and facing in a direction that is oblique to the direction of travel of the vehicle. The bulkhead includes a recess for receiving the head of a passenger in the front seat in the event of an accident. The recess is spaced apart from the front seat in the direction of travel and in a direction that is obliquely disposed with respect to the direction in which the seated passenger faces. The recess allows the front seat to be located closer to the bulkhead than would be the case in the absence of the recess, which can increase seat density in a seating area.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 5, 2023Inventors: Jonathan McGreevy, Robert Elliot

Patent number: 11512535Abstract: An apparatus is configured for undersea use, such as for penetrating a seabed for forming a borehole therein, including with optional data acquisition and logging capabilities. A first or base module (12) of the apparatus is adapted for engaging the seabed. A first elevator (16) provides longitudinal movement of a second or upper module (14) relative to the base module (12) along a drilling axis. The relative movement of the upper and base modules may be used in the course of independently moving first (18) and second (20) rotary units along the drilling axis to cause a drill rod (R) and a drill casing (C) to penetrate the seabed such that the collapse of the borehole is avoided.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2019Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: BENTHIC USA LLCInventor: Robert Elliot
