Abstract: A controller for controlling a valve is disclosed including a manifold assembly, a valve position indicator and a trigger assembly. An operating media distribution system is disposed in the manifold assembly and an electronic control unit is disposed in the controller. The electronic control unit operates at least one electromagnetic valve to control operating media flow via the operating media distribution system to activate an actuator which opens or closes the valve. The trigger assembly includes a cylinder adapted to receive an actuator shaft and provide a self setting mechanism corresponding to the stroke length of the actuator shaft.

Abstract: Refrigerating oils useful in refrigerating devices to produce temperatures lower than -86.degree. C. and as low as -130.degree. C. and free from salts, alcohols, halogenated hydrocarbons and halocarbons and having a viscosity below 10 mm.sup.2 /s at -40.degree. C., consisting essentially of mixtures of at least two members selected from the group consisting of hexamethyl disiloxane, octamethyl trisiloxane, linear decamethyl tetrasiloxane, octamethyl cyclotetrasiloxane and decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane.

Abstract: Polydiorganosiloxane compositions which are stable in storage with exclusion of moisture and which are curable with water or atmospheric air are useful to produce paintable joint sealing compounds and coating composition and the composition is a mixture of .alpha., .omega.-dihydroxy-polydiorganosiloxanes, carboxylic acid amido alkylalkoxy silicon compounds as cross-linking agents, complex titanic acid esters and filler which comprises a precipitated, hydrophobicized chalk whose residual moisture has been removed before contact with the titanic acid esters and cross-linking agents in the mixture.

Abstract: Highly pure amidosilanes of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having 5 to 18 carbon atoms, alkenyl having 2 to 18 carbon atoms and aryl having 6 to 18 carbon atoms,R.sup.1 is alkoxy having 1 to 18 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently of one another are alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or aryl having 6 to 18 carbon atoms,x is 1, 2 or 3,y is 0, 1 or 2, with the sum of x and y being 1 to 3,are produced by reacting an alcohol-free suspension of alkali metal salts or organic amides with organosilanes wherein said salts of amides are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## with an alcoholic solution of an alkali metal alcoholate in inert organic solvents and the removing alcohol from the reaction mixture by distillation, and said organosilanes are of the formulaR.sub.x R.sub.y.sup.1 SiX.sub.

Abstract: Coated rutile mixed phase pigments comprise a mixed phase rutile pigment having a first coating of an oxide or hydrated oxide of titanium, zirconium, tin or a mixture thereof and a subsequent coating of an oxide or hydroxide of aluminum, and those pigments exhibit an improved tendency against flocculation in lacquers hardened with acid catalysts.

Abstract: The invention provides a process for the production of zeolite A from kaolin by conversion of the kaolin into meta-kaolin followed by reaction of the meta-kaolin in an aqueous alkaline medium, wherein the conversion of the kaolin into the meta-kaolin is conducted at temperatures of between 700.degree. and 950.degree. C. in the presence of alkaline earth compounds and optionally in the presence of uncolored halides and/or halogens, wherein the process may be conducted under reducing conditions and in the presence of alkali metal compounds.
