  • Publication number: 20260110225
Abstract: A coiled tubing injector system and a well system are disclosed. The system, in one aspect, includes a coiled tubing frame having a first side and a second opposing side, as well as a coiled tubing injector positioned at least partially within the coiled tubing frame, the coiled tubing injector configured to assist in a placement of a coiled tubing string within a wellbore, in addition to a coiled tubing guide arch aligned with the coiled tubing injector and extending away from the first side of the coiled tubing frame, the coiled tubing guide arch configured to guide the coiled tubing string into the coiled tubing injector. The coiled tubing injector system, in one aspect, further includes a trolley track or trolley coupled proximate the second opposing side of the coiled tubing frame, the trolley track or trolley configured to counteract reel tension force associated with the coiled tubing string.

  • Patent number: 12180790
Abstract: A quick-disconnect multi-coupler assembly for disconnecting utility lines connecting well equipment to power sources. The utility lines may be hoses or electrical cables. The power sources may be pressurized fluid or electrical energy sources. The well equipment may be located on an offshore platform and the power sources may be located on a floating support vessel. A fixed mounting plate located on the floating support vessel may be connected to the power sources by vessel-side utility lines. A removable mounting plate may be connected to the well equipment by well-side utility lines, and can be releasably coupled to the fixed mounting plate to provide a pressurized fluid or electrical energy pathway from the power sources to the well equipment. Rapid disconnection of the well-side utility lines from the power sources may be performed by decoupling the mounting plates using a decoupling cylinder that can be activated from a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20240200414
Abstract: A system for controlling pressure applied in a well intervention operation using a physics-based model is provided. The system can include a stripper element that includes a pressure retention element for sealing a wellbore during an intervention operation that uses coiled tubing; a stripper circuit that includes a hydraulic actuator to apply a pressure to the pressure retention element; a processing device coupled to the hydraulic actuator that can receive, from the stripper circuit, a feedback signal. The processing device may receive a physical characteristic of a component and then determine, using data from the feedback signal and the physical characteristic, a minimum pressure level to contain wellhead pressure. The processing device may then output a command to cause the hydraulic actuator to change the pressure on the pressure retention element to be the minimum pressure level or within a pre-set deviation of the minimum pressure level.

  • Patent number: 11525468
Abstract: The disclosure provides a blowout preventer system including: a hydraulic circuit, a blowout preventer including a ram having an open port and a close port, a hydraulic fluid tank, a hydraulic fluid pump, and a control valve. The hydraulic circuit includes: a first accumulator, a first valve, and a second valve. The control valve is coupled to the open port, the close port, and the hydraulic fluid tank. The first accumulator is coupled to the control valve by way of the first valve and to the close port by way of the second valve. The first valve allows hydraulic fluid to flow from the control valve to the first accumulator but prevents hydraulic fluid from flowing back to the control valve. When the control valve is in the open position, the second valve is closed, and when the control valve is in the close position, the second valve is open.
