Publication number: 20230390497Abstract: Medication delivery devices are provided having a housing comprising a reservoir sized sufficiently to hold medication, a dose button being rotatable relative to the housing to select a dose size of the medication for an injection, a printed circuit board, a conductive trace, and a microcontroller. In some embodiments, a bias source can be in electrical communication with the conductive trace, and the microcontroller can be in electrical communication with the conductive trace through a logic input. In some embodiments, an analog-to-digital converter can be in electrical communication with the conductive trace, the microcontroller, and a bias source. The microcontroller is configured to receive a signal from the ADC or the logic input, and determine, based on the received signal, that moisture may be present on the printed circuit board.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2021Publication date: December 7, 2023Inventors: Matthew James ASH, Emil PREDA, Andrew Eric BOWYER, Robert Eugene TRZYBINSKI

Patent number: 11452819Abstract: A medication delivery device with a sensing system to determine at least one of a dose set and a dose delivery. The sensing system is operable to detect relative rotational positions of first and second members of the device which are indicative of at least one of an amount of a dose set and an amount of a dose delivered by operation of the device, and generate outputs correlated to such relative rotational positions. The system includes a wiper coupled to the first member, and a sensing band coupled to the second member for physically contacting the wiper as the second member rotates relative to the first member. A controller electrically communicates with the sensing system to determine, based on the generated outputs of the sensing system, at least one of the amount of the dose set and the amount of the dose delivered by operation of the device.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2017Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: Eli Lilly and CompanyInventors: Uri Eliezer Baruch, James Angus Boonzaier, Xorge Castro Pelayo, Matthew James Clemente, Jeremy Peter Clements, James Alexander Davies, Robert Eugene Trzybinski

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ASPECTS OF A DOSE DETECTION SYSTEM MODULE FOR A MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE
Publication number: 20220031957Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to computerized methods and systems of at least one of for generating a single light indication pattern via LEDs for a dose detection system, such as for example, based on a use case type and a battery life status type. The use case types may include pairing, manual synching, and/or dose injection, and the battery life status types may include 1 to 3 different states. Another method and system are for reducing drainage of a battery for a dose detection system by monitoring the continuous activation of the power-on module, and/or alerting the user in a manner for the user to take action. At least some of the information obtained from these techniques may be communicated to a paired remote electronic device, such as a user's smartphone.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2021Publication date: February 3, 2022Inventors: James Robert KERSHNER, Yan LIAO, Rossano Claudio MASSARI, Robert Eugene TRZYBINSKI -

Patent number: 8768099Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system of content creation, content post processing, new image capture and image composition whereby alternate images or video content may be selectively integrated into an original video in real time. In the present invention, sufficient metadata is created at the time of the creation of the original video content to both describe objects/areas in the original video that are available for integration of alternate images/video and to provide a means of controlling the alternate video capture and processing to fit the alternate image/video into the areas in the original video defined as available for integration of alternate image/video. The result is a mechanism whereby personal/alternate video/images may be integrated with existing video content, such as in one embodiment, music videos (e.g., video Karaoke), games, broadcast video, DVD videos, and the like, in real time.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2005Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Thomson LicensingInventors: Mike Arthur Derrenberger, Robert Eugene Trzybinski
