Abstract: A gas delivery apparatus configured for use with a mechanical ventilator having an atmospheric inlet for drawing in atmospheric gas includes a connecting device configured to connect to an oxygen supply and an air supply and to deliver mixed air and oxygen gas to the atmospheric inlet of the mechanical ventilator. The connecting device further includes a user control for adjusting a fraction of oxygen in the mixed air and oxygen gas. The connecting device comprises a reservoir configured to hold a volume of the mixed air and oxygen gas.

Abstract: Isoindoline derivatives monosubstituted in the 1-position corresponding to the general formula ##STR1## in which the cyclic radical R is an aromatic ring, a substituted aromatic ring, a tetrahydrogenated aromatic ring, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, or a sulfur-containing heterocyclic ring, and R.sub.1 is a substituent represented by the general formula ##STR2## where Y is an atom of oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, or carbon, Z is the atom or atoms necessary to form a 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may have a fused-on aromatic ring selected from phenyl and naphthyl groups, R.sub.2 is an alkyl, sulfoalkyl, or carboxyalkyl radical, and X.sup.- is the anion for the cationic quaternary nitrogen. The derivatives are dyes having hydrophilic properties. They are useful for dyeing and printing textile fibers and for photographic applications.

Abstract: Many photographic materials must be handled under special lighting conditions in order to prevent exposure of the material. The use of large concentrations of bleachable light absorbing layers over the photosensitive emulsion tends to leave an undesirable residual stain. The inclusion of a specific class of low intensity reciprocity failure inducers to silver halide emulsions enables the emulsions and their photographic articles to be safely handled under white light conditions.

Abstract: Post anchoring device comprises main body section having post receiving opening at upper end thereof. Body section has open lower end and side wall portions that surround post when inserted into upper opening thereof. Single fixed anchoring stake is permanently secured to outer surface of one of side wall portions of main body section. Stake has top end adjacent post receiving opening of main body section and ground engaging lower end downwardly spaced from open lower end of main body section. In use stake is driven into ground until lower edges of main body section are at ground level. Signpost or other post form is then inserted into upper opening of main body section.

Abstract: Dyes of the formula ##EQU1## WHEREIN R.sub.c is a monovalent chromophoric radical, M is a sulfonyl, carbonyl, or carbonyloxy bridging radical, R.sub.f is a monovalent saturated fluoroaliphatic radical, and R is a monovalent organic radical selected from cyano, MR.sub.f, or aryl sulfonyl. A wide spectrum of unusually brilliant colors is available.
