Publication number: 20250032170Abstract: An electrosurgical forceps includes first and second shaft members pivotably coupled to one another via a pivot member such that pivoting of the first and second shaft members between spaced-apart and approximated positions pivots jaw members thereof between open and closed positions. A knife is translatable between retracted and extended positions. A knife deployment mechanism is operably coupled to the first shaft member and includes at least one trigger and at least one linkage coupling the at least one trigger with the knife such that pivoting of the at least one trigger relative to the first shaft member translates the knife between the retracted and extended positions. A knife lockout biased towards a locked position inhibits distal translation of the knife. The knife lockout is movable from the locked position to an unlocked position upon approximation of the jaw members to permit distal translation of the knife.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Applicant: Covidien LPInventors: Grant T. Patent number: 12206106Abstract: Embodiments of secondary batteries having electrode assemblies are provided. A secondary battery can comprise an electrode assembly having a stacked series of layers, the stacked series of layers having an offset between electrode and counter-electrode layers in a unit cell member of the stacked series. A set of constraints can be provided with a primary constraint system with first and second primary growth constraints separated from each other in a longitudinal direction, and connected by at least one primary connecting member, and a secondary constraint system comprises first and second secondary growth constraints separated in a second direction and connected by members of the stacked series of layers. The primary constraint system may at least partially restrain growth of the electrode assembly in the longitudinal direction, and the secondary constraint system may at least partially restrain growth in the second direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2022Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Enovix CorporationInventors: Robert S. Patent number: 11895114Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for a satellite device that can be associated with a user account of a minor aged (e.g., child or adolescent) user that does not have a smartphone that can be used as a companion device to the satellite device. The satellite device can be configured to be used as a primary device, without reliance upon a paired smartphone. Certain information can be synchronized with the satellite device via the association with the family account. During initial configuration, a set of cryptographic keys can be generated to associate the account of the satellite device with the set of accounts in the family. The satellite device can then access calendars, media, or other data that is shared with user accounts within a family of user accounts.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: APPLE INC.Inventors: Dmitry V. Belov, Justin K. Bennett, David S. Clark, Kalyan C. Gopavarapu, David G. Knipp, Robert F. Lee, Sudhakar N. Mambakkam, Nagarjuna Thottempudi, Tyler D. Hawkins, Reed E. Olsen, Paul W. Salzman

Patent number: 6169762Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to interface devices that provide an interface between a first device and a second device, where the interface device provides electrical isolation between the first device and the second device, and where codec processing is distributed between the first-device side and the second-device side of the interface device. In a preferred embodiment, the second device has a transmission line, the interface device is a modem, and the electrical isolation is provided by one or more digital couplers that transmit sigma-delta signals that are coded and decoded in both the first-device-side and second-device-side circuitries of the modem.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1997Date of Patent: January 2, 2001Assignee: Lucent Technologies Inc.Inventors: Milton L. Patent number: 4720643Abstract: A peak catcher circuit comprises an input differential amplifying circuit consisting of a pair of transistors. An input signal in the form of an electrical wave or pulse is applied between the base of the first transistor of the pair and a point of fixed potential, while a capacitor is connected between the base of the second transistor of the pair and the fixed potential. A first fixed current source is connected between the coupled emitters of the differential pair and the fixed potential, and a second smaller fixed current source is connected between the collector of the second transistor and a second fixed potential. A second pair of oppositely poled emitter-coupled, common base connected transistors is connected between the base of the second transistor of the differential pair and the second fixed potential, and there is a connection from the coupled emitters of the second pair to the collector of the second transistor of the differential pair.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1987Date of Patent: January 19, 1988Assignee: American Telephone and Telegraph Company, AT&T Bell LaboratoriesInventors: Milton L.
