  • Publication number: 20220100930
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for mapping a planar surface to a curved surface. One such method comprises providing a planar lattice pattern having identical regular polygon shapes which can be truss support modules for supporting a curved surface structure. Method further include determining respective positions of the nodal points of the identical polygon shapes by placing a starting nodal point on an axis of symmetry of the planar lattice pattern and iteratively positioning each nodal point in relation to already placed neighboring nodes to make a distance between a currently positioned nodal point optimally close with a set value of the planar lattice pattern. Method still further comprises forming a curved lattice pattern of the truss support module based on the positions of the nodal points of the identical polygon shapes.

  • Patent number: 8317718
Abstract: Methods for assessing an overall digestive health of a patient are provided, which include administering a breath test that uses a label incorporated into proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids and further incorporating the labeled material into a meal which, when cooked, facilitates the binding of the label material to the solid phase matrix of the meal. Methods for assessing digestive functions of a patient are also provided, which includes concurrently administering a breath test and a scintigraphy test that measure gastric emptying in a stomach.

  • Patent number: 6505094
Abstract: A method for preparing items for shipment in a distribution facility with multiple pallet-build squares may include a step of identifying an available pallet-build square among the multiple pallet-build squares. An item may then be transported to an operator for the available pallet-build square. Item data from a scan of a barcode on the item may then be received, and in response, a display may be automatically updated to identify the available pallet for the operator.

  • Patent number: 5675845
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a spray responsive to actuation of a flush toilet includes a spray dispenser for dispensing a spray, and an electrical actuator associated with the spray dispenser for operating the spray dispenser. There is a tilt switch electrically connected to the electrical actuator for switching the actuator on, and a connector attached to the tilt switch for attaching the actuation element to a flush toilet. The connector is free of moving parts.

  • Patent number: 4312436
Abstract: Validator-controlled apparatus responsive to the inspection and validation of a plaque as genuine cooperating with a timer to control the power supply to and operation of a plurality of electrical components for one or consecutive predetermined periods. In an illustrative application of the apparatus, the validator inspects and authenticates a coded plaque of paper currency or a coded card as a prerequisite to the control and use of a room for a measured period of time equipped with one or more electrical components. One of the controlled components is a lock for the room door or barrier which re-locks after entrance of the patron or patrons and remains locked from its exterior but is manually releasable from the interior at any time. The apparatus includes provision for disabling the plaque validator and the door lock during the decrement of an existing predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 4232294
Abstract: A method and apparatus for rotating priorities among stations on a communication channel, and particularly on a contention channel where a plurality of active stations are provided, each capable of seizing use of the channel. Counter means at each station contains an indication representative of the station having highest priority to the channel Each station establishes a priority rank for itself based upon the contents in the counter means. The indication is sequentially altered to provide priority to other stations. The priority indications in the counter means are synchronized each time a station seizes use of the channel, and may also be synchronized periodically if no station seizes use of the channel.
