  • Patent number: 11953429
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include at least one building component detection sensor device configured to be deployed within (or proximate to) a building comprised of a plurality of building components. The at least one building component detection sensor device is configured to detect data relating to at least one building component of the plurality of building components. In addition, a building component property determination system includes a processor configured to execute instructions stored in memory to determine one or more properties of the at least one building component based at least in part on the data detected by the at least one building component detection sensor device.

  • Patent number: 4387171
Abstract: An unsaturated halogenated or non-halogenated polyester resin composition for open lay-up moulding and containing styrene as an agent for cross-linking during curing additionally contains 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, of at least one C.sub.18-40 .alpha.-olefine compound which is theoretically capable of taking part in the cross-linking reaction. When the composition contains a non-halogenated polyester resin, then the .alpha.-olefine compound itself serves to restrict styrene evaporation from the composition. For halogenated polyester resin compositions, the .alpha.-olefine, although not usually by itself providing such a marked restriction of styrene evaporation, does allow incorporation into the composition of a waxy compound in an amount sufficiently large to achieve the desired styrene evaporation restriction without deterioration of the adhesion properties of the composition during lay-up.

  • Patent number: 4336169
Abstract: An unsaturated polyester resin composition for ambient temperature open lay-up moulding contains styrene as an agent for cross-linking during curing, a wax for preventing air inhibition and a compound for allowing reduction of styrene evaporation. The compound is of the formulaR.sub.1 --X--CH.dbd.CHCOOHwhere R.sub.1 is a straight- or branched-chain substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic C.sub.6 --C.sub.24 hydrocarbon, and ##STR1## Such resin compositions are particularly suitable for producing laminates and the abovementioned compounds serve as adhesion-promoting agents. Incorporation of such compounds into the compositions enables larger amounts of the waxy substances to be included by compensating for the loss of adhesion which would otherwise have arisen from the presence of larger quantities of waxy substance.

  • Patent number: 4285845
Abstract: To allow the use of stearyl stearate or paraffin in amounts to restrict styrene evaporation from an unsaturated polyester resin during curing, there is present in the resin a small amount (0.1 to 5% by weight) of a long-chain vinyl compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is straight- or branched-chain substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic C.sub.6 -C.sub.24 hydrocarbon,Y=H or CH.sub.3,n=zero or 1, ##STR2## Preferred such compounds are lauryl and stearyl methacrylate. The resins are made by admixture of the selected compound(s) with the conventional other components of the resin.
