    Abstract: An apparatus as disclosed by which production of pompons of the inventions comprising a gripping member having a thermoplastic crown piece mating surface to which a plurality of thermoplastic streamers are ultrasonically fused may be utimated which comprises a means for moving a form cluster of streamers into a position intermediate of an ultrasonic welding horn and the crown piece mating surface of a handle or gripping member and a means for contacting and engerizing an ultrasonic welding head with the cluster of streamers so as to fuse the streamers to the crown piece by ultrasonic vibrations.
