  • Publication number: 20030008684
Abstract: A digital wireless basestation is disclosed which is programmed with a hardware abstraction layer suitable for enabling one or more baseband processing algorithms to he represented using high level software. Commodity protocols and hardware turn a basestation, previously a highly expensive, vendor-locked, application specific product, into a generic, scalable baseband platform, capable of executing many different modulation standards with simply a change of software. IP is used to connect this device to the backnet, and IP is also used to feed digitised IF to and from third party RF modules, using an open data and control format.

  • Publication number: 20030004697
Abstract: A method of designing, modelling or fabricating a communications baseband stack, comprising the steps of: (a) creating a description of one or more of the following parameters of the baseband stack: (i) resource requirements; (ii) capabilities; (iii) behavior; and (b) using that description as an input to software comprising a virtual machine layer optimised for a communications DSP in order to generate an emulation of the baseband stack to be designed, modelled or fabricated.

  • Patent number: 5937418
Abstract: A system for presenting updated content on a networked computer receives communications such as those sent by a wire copy service. The system processes the communications, organizes the communications by subject matter, and creates title or summary files. If the communications relate only to parts of stories, those communications are assembled together in a file identified by a subject identifier of the story. When a user of the system requests content, the system calls a template, which provides the format for transmitting the content. The template calls an appropriate file and inserts that file into the template to create a page. The page is then transmitted to the user. The templates may also automatically create hyperlinks in order to call up other files of content as requested by a user.

  • Patent number: 4808705
Abstract: Highly stable pharmaceutical compositions suitable for parenteral administration to animals or humans comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an RTA-immunoconjugate dissolved in an inert carrier method comprising a stabilizer are claimed. Screening methods for selecting stabilizers effective in preventing precipitation and aggregation of such compositions are described. Preferred stabilizers includes glycerol at a concentration (v/v) of from about 25 to about 35%; dextran sulfates having molecular weights from about 0.1.times.10.sup.6 to about 2.times.10.sup.6 daltons; and human serum albumin. The invention further comprises such compositions which have been lyophilized and/or reconstituted wherein the stabilizer is non-volatile, and may further comprise a carbohydrate stabilizer. The invention further comprises stabilized RTA compositions.

  • Patent number: 4771128
Abstract: A method of isolating and purifying toxin conjugates using hydrophobic interaction chromatography. Crude conjugate mixtures are sized to remove unconjugated toxin, and loaded onto a column filled with a suitable hydrophobic gel. Elution is effected with salt solutions of decreasing ionic strength, which salt solutions optionally include increasing amounts of an organic solvent. Toxin conjugate substantially free of unconjugated Ig and unconjugated toxin is provided.

  • Patent number: 4689401
Abstract: Substantially pure, intracellularly produced, soluble recombinant ricin toxin A (RTA) is recovered from transformed cells by disrupting the cell membrane, removing insoluble cell membrane materials from the disruptate, adjusting the pH of the cell membrane material-free solution to 6 to 6.5 and the conductivity to 1.25 to 1.75 millisiemens, passing the adjusted solution through a bed of SP-cellulose cation exchanger, and eluting the substantially pure RTA from the bed.
