  • Patent number: 10423940
Abstract: A session to enroll customers to make payments has two stages, a first stage completed on the telephone or on a merchant or debt collector website, and a second stage completed via a communications link such as a telephone or Internet link. The customer enrollment record is linked to financial account information received from the customer in the second stage and stored on a second, secure server. A token linked to the securely stored financial account information is returned to the merchant and then used by the merchant to initiate payments on that financial account. The merchant's personnel and customer record system do not store or have access to the underlying financial account information.

  • Publication number: 20190260618
Abstract: A method may comprise receiving and sampling a signal. The signal may encode a data packet. A slice may be generated and stored comprising a pair of values for each of a selected number of samples of the signal representing a correlation of the signal to reference functions in the receiver. The presence of the data packet may then be detected and the detected packet decoded from the stored slices. The generating and storing slices may be carried out as the received signal is sampled. The sampled values of the signal may be discarded as the slices are generated and stored. The slice representation of the signal can be manipulated to generate filters with flexible bandwidth and center frequency.

  • Publication number: 20190140964
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for managing jitter resulting from processing through a network interface pipeline are disclosed. In embodiments, a network traffic scheduler annotates packets to be transmitted over a bandwidth-limited network connection with time relationship information to ensure downstream bandwidth limitations are not violated. Following processing through a network interface pipeline, a jitter shaper inspects the annotated time relationship information and pipeline-imposed delays and, by imposing a variable delay, reestablishes bandwidth-complaint time relationships based upon the annotated time relationship information and configured tolerances.

  • Patent number: 10097388
Abstract: A method may include receiving a signal. The signal may encode a data packet. The method may include further sampling the signal to generate sampled values, and generating a slice record comprising a plurality of slices from the sampled values by correlating the sampled values with first and second reference templates. The first reference template may include a first reference function, and the second reference template may include a second reference function in quadrature with the first reference function. The method may further include cross-correlating the slice record with a stored template to generate cross-correlation terms, and determining when a magnitude of the cross-correlation terms exceeds a predetermined threshold for a width of the stored template.

  • Publication number: 20180158448
Abstract: In some embodiments, recognition results produced by a speech processing system (which may include two or more recognition results, including a top recognition result and one or more alternative recognition results) based on an analysis of a speech input, are evaluated for indications of potential errors. In some embodiments, the indications of potential errors may include discrepancies between recognition results that are meaningful for a domain, such as medically-meaningful discrepancies. The evaluation of the recognition results may be carried out using any suitable criteria, including one or more criteria that differ from criteria used by an ASR system in determining the top recognition result and the alternative recognition results from the speech input. In some embodiments, a recognition result may additionally or alternatively be processed to determine whether the recognition result includes a word or phrase that is unlikely to appear in a domain to which speech input relates.

Abstract: In some embodiments, the recognition results produced by a speech processing system (which may include a top recognition result and one or more alternative recognition results) based on an analysis of a speech input, are evaluated for indications of potential significant errors. In some embodiments, the recognition results may be evaluated to determine whether a meaning of any of the alternative recognition results differs from a meaning of the top recognition result in a manner that is significant for the domain. In some embodiments, one or more of the recognition results may be evaluated to determine whether the result(s) include one or more words or phrases that, when included in a result, would change a meaning of the result in a manner that would be significant for the domain.

  • Patent number: 9564126
Abstract: In some embodiments, a recognition result produced by a speech processing system based on an analysis of a speech input is evaluated for indications of potential errors. In some embodiments, sets of words/phrases that may be acoustically similar or otherwise confusable, the misrecognition of which can be significant in the domain, may be used together with a language model to evaluate a recognition result to determine whether the recognition result includes such an indication. In some embodiments, a word/phrase of a set that appears in the result is iteratively replaced with each of the other words/phrases of the set. The result of the replacement may be evaluated using a language model to determine a likelihood of the newly-created string of words appearing in a language and/or domain. The likelihood may then be evaluated to determine whether the result of the replacement is sufficiently likely for an alert to be triggered.
