Abstract: Peptide analogues of ?-amyloid and methods of using said analogues for neuroprotection are described herein. The ?-amyloid peptide analogues have a sequence that is at least 50% identical to an N-terminal ?-amyloid core fragment. A pharmaceutical composition of the ?-amyloid peptide analogues in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier can be administered to a subject for neuromodulation. The ?-amyloid peptide analogues, while lacking neurotoxicity, effectively provides for protective activity against ?-amyloid toxicity.

Flexible trash bags having openings in the upper comer portions thereof are used to line the trash receptacle. The retaining elements project through openings in a bag for retaining the bag in lined relation within the receptacle. A drawer is provided in a compartment in the lower portion of the receptacle for use in containing a supply of bags therein.

Abstract: An aquarium tool kit comprises a handle which may include a single handle section or a plurality of similar handle sections. Each section has quick coupling elements at opposite ends thereof for ready connection to adjacent handle sections. Each handle section includes a bendable portion intermediate the ends thereof to allow angular adjustment of the section. A plurality of implements are provided including a scoop simulating a hand, hook and a needle type scraper. Each implement has a quick coupling element for ready connection to a handle section.

Abstract: An aquarium tool kit includes handles, extension members and a plurality of implements including a sponge, scraper, net, rock pickers, brush, scoops, and pinchers. The handles includes a pivotally interconnected handle members which form tongs, and a substantially straight handle member. The extension members are used to adjust the length and angularity of the handles. The handles, extension members and implements have coupling members thereon which permit ready attachment of any implement directly to the handles or to an extension member. The tool kit therefore allows the various implements to be used with a handle for performing any specific function thereby allowing structuring, maintenance, and restructuring of aquariums regardless of size or shape.
