  • Publication number: 20190178706
Abstract: A method is provided for testing noise of vehicles when driving over a test track. This method includes carrying out noise measurements in a vehicle driving over the test track by means of sensors arranged inside the vehicle, determining the positions of the vehicle driving on the test track and assigning the respective measurement to the position of the vehicle on the test track, evaluating the measurement results of the noise measurements, based on the respective test track position, during a comparison with known noise characteristics of comparison vehicles. The method enables an efficient objective noise test of vehicles when driving over a test track.

  • Patent number: 10266955
Abstract: An electrochemical method for coupling anilines. When coupling two different anilines, the difference of the oxidation potential of the substrates is in the region of between 10 mV to 450 mV, and the aniline with the highest oxidation potential is added in excess. The method allows biaryldiamines to be electrochemically produced, and can avoid the need for multi-step syntheses using metallic reagents.

  • Patent number: 10245578
Abstract: The invention is concerned with catalysts for heterogeneous hydrogenation of oxo process aldehydes. The problem addressed by the invention is that of developing a catalyst containing neither chromium nor nickel. In addition, it is to enable the economically viable hydrogenation of aldehyde mixtures originating from industrial oxo processes on the industrial scale. For this purpose, the catalyst should not be reliant on costly precious metals such as Ru, Pd or Pt. This problem was solved by omitting the chromium and nickel in the preparation of a conventional Cu/Ni/Cr system, such that a catalyst wherein only copper occurs as hydrogenation-active component on the support material thereof, and not chromium or nickel, is obtained. What is surprising here is that a functioning catalyst for the purpose intended still arises at all even though two of three hydrogenation-active metals are omitted.

  • Patent number: 10227278
Abstract: The production of 2-propylheptanol described here is effected via Rh-catalyzed hydroformylation of C4-olefin to afford C5-aldehyde, aldol condensation to afford the C10-aldehyde and hydrogenation to afford the C10-alcohol. The emphasis is on the hydroformylation and the ligand employed therein. The problem addressed by the invention is that of reducing the costs of 2PH production. This problem is solved when a cheaper catalyst system which simultaneously achieves a better regioselectivity is employed in the hydroformylation.

  • Patent number: 10221110
Abstract: A process for dehydrating alkanes in which such feedstock mixtures may be used having a high proportion of olefins, i.e. approximately 1% by weight to 10% by weight. Specifically, alkenes having two to five carbon atoms are generated from alkanes having the same carbon length where the number of carbon atoms not change during by the dehydrogenation. The process is intended to be feasible on an industrial scale. A basic concept of the invention consists of hydrogenating alkenes present in the feedstock to the corresponding alkanes before they come in contact with the dehydrogenation catalyst. This avoids an undesired coke deposit. The hydrogenation is effected by minimal addition of hydrogen (80% to 120% of the stoichiometrically required amount). The hydrogenation is effected either over a dehydrogenation catalyst, or over the dehydrogenation catalyst itself.
