  • Publication number: 20040241297
Abstract: A device (10), for production and application of whipped cream, comprises a cream container (15) arranged therein, from which liquid cream may be supplied through a line (18), using a means (11), to an outlet nozzle (101) of an outlet head (100). A tube (25), connected at one end to the outlet head (110) is arranged such as to be drawn in or out, to or from, said device (10), whereby if required the outlet head (40) is fixed to the device (10) or detachable therefrom. The tube (25) and a part of the outlet head (100) provided for the passage of cream and thus the cream remaining therein are cooled in the drawn-in state of the tube (25). The device (10) permits the user an optimal operation, when, after the expression of cream, the tube (25) independently withdraws into the device (10).

  • Patent number: 5129555
Abstract: A rerouting mechanism is used in an assembly including a driven member movable in a driven direction to operate the movable plate of a slide gate and drive unit for moving the driven member in the driven direction and including a drive member movable in a driving direction out of alignment with the driven direction. The rerouting mechanism transfers movement of the driving member in the driving direction to movement of the driven member in the driven direction. The rerouting mechanism includes a guide member defining a bent guideway aligned with the driving direction and the driven direction. A flexible force transfer element is positioned within the guideway and is movable therealong while flexibly deforming to the configuration thereof. The transfer element has opposite ends connected to the driving member and to the driven member.

  • Patent number: 5044532
Abstract: A slide unit for use in a sliding closure unit includes two partial movable refractory plates having respective planar surfaces. Each partial plate is surrounded circumferentially by a respective metal band. The two plates are assembled together in a frame to abut along a butt joint so that the two partial plates can be moved together with the planar surfaces thereof contacting a stationary refractory plate of a sliding closure unit. The metal bands at the area of the butt joint between the two partial plates is spanned by a refractory shoulder extending integrally from at least one of the partial plates. Such shoulder thereby extends the planar surfaces of the two plates to the butt joint so that the two planar surfaces form a continuous sealing surface.

  • Patent number: 4867428
Abstract: A clamping device for clamping a fireproof plate into a metal frame of slide gate includes a clamping jaw that can be pressed against the plate perimeter. A wedge-shaped member acts on the clamping jaw and is threaded onto a bolt that is rotatably positioned in the frame. The clamping jaw and the wedge-shaped member have engaging slots and keys that cause positive withdrawal of the clamping jaw upon loosening the wedge-shaped member.

  • Patent number: 4848604
Abstract: The slide gate valve (20) has a damper unit (30) that can be adjusted by a drive unit and that can be moved to a position (A) lying outside of the closed position. In this position (A), the damper unit (30) is swingably held in a bearing (29) and guideways (21c) are lowered by a height (h) which releases the spring means (50) with respect to guideways (21a) along the remaining panel length. In this way, this damper unit can be swung out of the housing (24) in very simple fashion for the replacement of the eroded plates (22, 32), which is required very frequently and, after replacement of the plates, can be brought in the operating state again.

  • Patent number: 4697723
Abstract: A sliding closure unit includes a stationary refractory plate to be mounted on a metallurgical vessel, a movable refractory plate, a slide frame supporting the movable refractory plate and movable in a direction of movement between an open position with discharge openings in the movable and stationary refractory plates in alignment and a closed position with the discharge openings out of alignment, and tensioning devices on opposite sides of the movable refractory plates for pressing the movable refractory plate against the stationary refractory plate. The force of the tensioning structures is distributed evenly along the opposite sides of the movable refractory plate by strip members mounted in the slide frame for movement relative in the direction of the thickness thereof. A respective strip member is positioned on each opposite side of the movable refractory plate and is positioned between the tensioning structure on such side and the bottom surface of the movable refractory plate on such side.

  • Patent number: 4658994
Abstract: An apparatus for replaceably mounting a pouring tube in engagement with a discharge nozzle of a vessel includes an arm mounted for pivotal movement about a vertical axis and for tilting movement about a horizontal axis. A first end of the arm has a fixture for supporting a pouring tube. An operating member is mounted adjacent a second end of the arm to tilt the arm about the horizontal axis between a clamping position, where the pouring tube is pressed against a discharge nozzle of a vessel, and an open position, where the pouring tube is spaced from the discharge nozzle. When the arm is in the open position it may be pivoted about the vertical axis between a first position, where the pouring tube is aligned with the discharge nozzle, and a second position, where the pouring tube is spaced from the discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4650101
Abstract: A sliding closure unit includes an upper stationary refractory plate to be mounted on a metallurgical vessel, a movable refractory plate sealed against the upper stationary refractory plate, a slide unit for moving the movable refractory plate in a direction of movement between an open position with discharge openings in the movable refractory plate and the upper stationary refractory plate in alignment and a closed position with the discharge openings out of alignment, a lower stationary refractory plate mounted beneath the movable refractory plate, and tensioning devices for pressing the lower stationary refractory plate against the movable refractory plate. Guide members are provided for relieving the pressure of the tensioning devices on the lower stationary refractory plate upon movement of the movable refractory plate to the closed position, thereby enabling replacement of the lower stationary refractory plate. The guide members are provided on the slide unit and extend in the direction of movement.

  • Patent number: 4601416
Abstract: A sliding closure unit includes at least one stationary plate having therethrough a discharge opening, and a movable plate mounted in sliding contact with the stationary plate, the movable plate having therethrough first and second discharge openings and including a closing area. Guides define alternative first and second paths of movement of the movable plate in directions along respective first and second tracks extending between the closing area and the first and second discharge openings of the movable plate. A single drive is connected to the movable plate for moving the movable plate along a selected such path between a closed position whereat the closing area is aligned with the discharge opening of the stationary plate and a selected open position wherein one of the discharge openings of the movable plate is aligned with the discharge opening of the stationary plate.
