  • Patent number: 11940674
Abstract: A method of designing a fluid-filled contact lens (103) is described. The method involves generating a computational model that includes a fluid-filled lens (103) and the shape of a cornea causes deformation of an internal structure of the fluid-filled lens (103) to generate a deformed, fluid-filled lens (103) with altered optical properties. The method also includes modelling (5) the optical properties of the deformed, fluid-filled lens (103). The shape of the fluid-filled lens (103) is then adjusted (7) to reduce the effects of the deformation on the optical properties. This is referred to as an adjusted fluid-filled lens (103). A corresponding off-eye lens design is generated (110 based on the adjusted fluid-filled lens design.

  • Patent number: 11834922
Abstract: A ram for a blowout preventer has a pressure chamber having a piston movably disposed therein, and a charge disposed at one end of the pressure chamber. A gate is coupled to the piston on a side opposed to the charge. The gate is arranged to move across a through bore in a housing disposed at an opposed end of the pressure chamber. A coupling between the piston and the gate has sufficient strength to transfer kinetic energy of the gate to the piston.

  • Patent number: 11719055
Abstract: A method for controlling pressure in a well includes pumping fluid into a riser extending between a drilling vessel and a wellhead, pumping fluid out of the riser to the drilling vessel by operating a first jet pump disposed in a conduit extending from the riser to the drilling vessel, wherein a rate of pumping power fluid into a power fluid inlet of the first jet pump is adjusted to maintain a liquid level in the drilling riser at a selected elevation.

  • Publication number: 20160180724
Abstract: a system for organizing, storing, selecting, retrieving and delivering media segments, including a highly interactive feedback loop for the gathering of information from and delivery of information to a user, including a multimedia library that may store video segments, audio clips, slides, text messages, and other media; a screening module that may elicit, organize and store data from a user into a modifiable database; an assembler module for accessing and selecting the media stored in the multimedia library module based on the data stored in the screening module; a delivery module that may display to the user media selected by the assembler module and that receives feedback information from the user, and uses the feedback to modify an instructional sequence; and a calendar module that maintains a schedule of instructional sequences for the user.
