    Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a method of affixing a screen sub-assembly to a substrate includes the steps of depositing a thermoplastic material on a surface of the substrate and placing the screen sub-assembly on top of the substrate. The screen sub-assembly includes a screen element and a thermoplastic material. The method also includes the steps of placing the screen sub-assembly and the substrate on a movable surface and driving the movable surface across a base support surface so as to position the screen sub-assembly and the substrate below an ultrasonic welding device. The ultrasonic welding device is actuated to emit ultrasonic energy that results in the screen sub-assembly being affixed to the substrate. The substrate can be formed of a perforated metal plate and a coating of thermoplastic powder.

    Abstract: A vibratory screening machine including a frame, a vibratory motor on said frame, a bed on the frame, a plurality of screens on the bed, a chamber below each of the screens, and a source of suction and pressure in communication with each of the chambers. A method of screening a slurry containing a mixture of fine and coarse particles and liquid including the steps of providing a vibratory screen, passing the mixture across the vibratory screen, applying suction on the opposite side of the vibratory screen from the mixture to draw liquid and fine particles from the mixture through said screen and into a chamber below the screen, and either intermittently terminating the suction or applying pneumatic pressure to the chamber.

    Abstract: A vibratory screening machine having a main frame, a screen frame pivoted at substantially its midpoint on the main frame, a weir which receives a liquid-solid mixture to be screened, a discharge spout on the weir, a linkage interconnecting one end of the screen frame with the discharge spout, and a hand wheel effectively connected to the discharge spout to raise and lower it and thereby simultaneously adjust the inclination of the screen frame while maintaining the drop of the liquid-solid mixture being discharged onto the screen frame substantially constant in all inclined positions of the screen frame.

    Abstract: A non-clogging and wear-reducing screen assembly for a vibrating screening machine including a substantially rigid plate having upper and lower sides and having first and second pairs of opposite edges, attachment members formed integrally with a plate on a first pair of opposite edges for attachment to a vibrating screening machine, a plurality of spaced openings throughout the substantially rigid plate and extending in both directions between the first and second pairs of the opposite edges, borders on the plate surrounding the openings, a supporting screen on the upper side of the plate, first and second superimposed contiguous abutting screens overlying the supporting screen, and adhesive firmly securing the supporting screen and the first and second screens to the borders of the openings.

    Abstract: A new and improved nonadjustable self-cleaning dewatering screen panel assembly suited to vibratory dewatering of fluid slurries containing fine particulate solid material is comprised of a rigid frame member and a substantially planar screen panel mounted within the frame and secured thereto under tension in both planar directions. The screen panel is a unitary one piece elastomeric sheet consisting of a plurality of pulsator portions and integral bordering stabilizer portions. The pulsator portions of the elastomeric panel are comprised of a multitude of substantially identical diaphram elements arranged in intimate, aligned and confronting relationship so as to present a smooth top screening surface.
