    Abstract: A request for multi-domain network information may be transmitted, by a STA, to an ME app. In response to the request, multi-domain network information corresponding to a plurality of WLANs may be received, by the STA. The response to the request may be received from a MEC service, of the ME app which runs on an MEP. In an embodiment, the ME app may be configured to obtain the multi-domain network information from an RNIS. In an embodiment, the STA may be associated with an AP controlled by a WiFi controller which is configured to collect measurement information of the plurality of WLANs and provide the measurement information to the MEP. Any one or more of the MEP, ME app or ME service may be configured to order the request and response with other requests and responses of one or more other STAs or ME apps.

    Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for third party edge cloud service providers (CSPs) to provide edge computing services to network service providers. The edge computing service is initialized in a network. Network information services of the network are discovered. A location of a cloud resource in the network may be dynamically changed. User plane traffic is steered toward the location of the cloud resource. In some embodiments, initializing the edge computing service includes transmitting an identity of a valid user and a data network name to a network function virtualization management and organization system, or transmitting a user subscription list to a network exposure function. In some embodiments, dynamically changing the location of a cloud resource and steering user plane traffic toward the location of the cloud resource includes determining a number of users of an edge application at a location, and a network requirement of the edge application.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for dynamic medium access control (MAC) address distribution in a wireless network. A station (STA) may receive, from an access point (AP), a frame that includes an indicator indicating at least one MAC address type or MAC address policy supported by an extended service set (ESS) associated with the AP. The indicator may comprise an 8 bit bitmap. The STA may then transmit, to the AP, a request message that includes MAC Address Assignment Protocol information determined based on the at least one MAC address type or MAC address policy. The STA may receive a response message that includes a local medium access control (MAC) address assigned based on the MAC Address Assignment Protocol information. The STA may transmit, to the AP, an association request frame with the local MAC address.

    Abstract: A client application running on a WTRU is configured to communicate data traffic over a TCP session with an MPTCP stack running on the WTRU. The data traffic is exchanged with a server application over a first MPTCP sub-flow with a first mobile edge (ME) host device. The WTRU is anchored to a second ME anchor node. The WTRU receives a first message from a second ME host device indicating that the WTRU should join a second MPTCP sub-flow with the second ME host device. The WTRU joins the second MPTCP sub-flow, responsive to the first message, wherein the second sub-flow is configured not to exchange data traffic. The WTRU receives a second message from the second ME host device configuring the second MPTCP sub-flow to exchange data traffic. The WTRU exchanges the data traffic with the server application over the second MPTCP sub-flow with the second ME host device.

A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may, in response to a request to access a connectivity-sponsored application, establish a control connection over a first access network for contacting an application connectivity coordinator. The establishment of control connection may include sending an attach request, receiving an IP address for a control link to the application connectivity coordinator, and receiving an IP address. Using the control connection, the WTRU may send an access network discovery request to the application connectivity coordinator. The WTRU may receive, from the application connectivity coordinator, a list of access networks. The WTRU may select a second access network from the list of access networks to access the connectivity-sponsored application.

The UE may determine the 5-tuple associated with the traffic flow. The UE may report the 5-tuple to the network. The report may be in response to one or more of: a request received from the network requesting traffic flow information; or, a determination that a first policy condition has been met.

For transmit processing, the PE retrieves source data from the second memory and processes the data while moving the data to the shared memory based on the control word. For receive processing, the PE retrieves received data from the shared memory and processes it while moving the data to the second memory.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically discovering and retrieving content based on a content identity (ID) are disclosed. User agents and content control entities in the network interact for registering the content, discovering the content hosts and sources, and initiating and controlling the content session. A content name resolution handler (CNRH) is provided for mapping content IDs to network locations or addresses. Two or more content service provider networks may interconnect each other to discover and retrieve the content. A content request from a client device includes a content ID that uniquely identifies a content object. The content ID is resolved with a CNRH to obtain identity information of at least one content provider for serving the content request, and the content request is forwarded to the selected content provider. The content request may be routed to the selected content provider via IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) control plane entities.
