    Abstract: The present invention relates to a cam-operated, self-adjusting brakeshoe adjustor that is utilized in heavy duty air braking vehicles that employ single and/or multiple-web brakeshoes. The brakeshoe adjustor includes a roller assembly, a cylindrical roller sleeve, and a pawl assembly. The roller assembly comprises a fixed eccentric roller(s) and spindle arrangement for slidable engagement with a cylindrical roller sleeve(s) which in turn is actuated by the rotation of the cam shaft. At least one portion of the spindle is provided with a ratchet for constant engagement with a mateable pawl. The rotation of the roller sleeve(s) about the eccentric roller(s) is limited by the arcuate distance of a slot contained about the edge of the roller sleeve within which a pin, radially extending from the roller, is engaged.
