  • Patent number: 4678350
Abstract: A bearing assembly comprising a first half including a first head portion partially defining a socket, a first shank portion connected to the first head portion, and a first periphery having extending therefrom a plurality of spaced first projections, and a second half substantially identical to the first half and including a second head portion aligned with the first head portion to define the socket, a second shank portion connected to the second head portion and aligned with the first shank portion, and a second periphery having extending therefrom a plurality of spaced second projections, the first projections being folded over the second periphery and the second projections being folded over the first periphery in alternating relationship so that the first and second projections interlock the halves and align the halves with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 4422434
Abstract: A solar energy collection apparatus comprising a hollow generally spherical means having an energy receiving means located substantially at the center of the spherical means. Circulation means connected to the energy receiving means circulates a heat absorbing fluid through the energy receiving means. A lense means forming a portion of the spherical means is located in the upper portion of the spherical means. The lense means is positioned so as to direct and concentrate solar energy onto the energy receiving means and onto the inner surface of the spherical means. The inner surface of the spherical means upon which the solar energy is directed by the lense means includes a reflective material to thereby reflect the solar energy impinging upon said inner surface back to the energy receiving means.

  • Patent number: 4361367
Abstract: A self lubricating bearing including a bearing member body comprised of sintered powdered metal, and a bore extending through the body and defining a cylindrical wall. A plurality of cavities are formed in the wall, the cavities extending radially outwardly with respect to the shaft and into the bearing member body, and the cavities being spaced equally around the bore. A bearing shaft is housed in the bore and is supported by the bearing material. A bearing member is housed in each of the cavities and extends into the bore to engage the shaft, the bearing members each comprising an oil impregnated polymer.
