Abstract: A method comprises obtaining a location of the device registered with a carrier network in association with a subscription account, wherein the subscription account comprises a home network subscription plan associated with a home network device registered with the carrier network, wherein the device is registered with the carrier network under a data plan separate from the home network subscription plan, determining a location of the home network device and a geographic zone around the home network device based on the device, and transmitting an instruction to a billing system in the carrier network to adapt the data plan associated with the device to a reduced billing rate when the location of the device is within the geographic zone around the home network device.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed which enable measurement of usage of one or more gateways in managing network elements. A system may include at least one gateway that is executable to maintain gateway usage information detailing the amount of usage of such gateway in managing network elements. Gateway usage may include, for example, gateway processing, such as handling of messages received by a gateway from one or more network elements. The gateway(s) may be communicatively coupled to a usage management system and may communicate usage information thereto. An Application Program Interface (API) may be implemented on a gateway, which may provide the functionality for maintaining a count of different types of usage that may occur thereon. The gateway may include software code that invokes the API upon occurrence of a particular type of usage, and the API may maintain a count of such particular type of usage.

Abstract: A release agent management (RAM) system including a metering roll supported for contact with release agent material contained in a sump. A donor roll is provided for applying oil deposited on its surface by the metering roll. Prior to fusing taking place, the donor roll is supported in pressure engagement with the fuser roll and out of contact with the metering roll. During fusing the donor roll is cammed into engagement with the metering roll.
