  • Patent number: 8753661
Abstract: A base body contains a substrate that is at least partially coated with a carbon-containing layer. The carbon-containing layer is at least partially functionalized with a molecule that is bound directly or via at least one linker or functional group to the carbon-containing layer. The base body, which has a functionalized carbon-containing surface, is capable of influencing biological processes during a corresponding functionalization.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 7, 2005
Date of Patent: June 17, 2014
    Assignee: Diacoating GmbH
Inventors: Doris Steinmüller-Nethl, Detlef Steinmüller, Frank Rudolf Kloss, Robert Gassner, Günther Bonn, Christian Wolfgang Huck, Muhammed Najam-Ul-Haq, Matthias Rainer, Günther Stecher

  • Publication number: 20050017388
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing plastic profiles, in which a strand of plastic is produced in an extruder and is cooled and calibrated in at least one calibrating tool by use of vacuum. A rapid and secure recognition of fissures in profiles is achieved in such a way that the vacuum pressure is monitored and, when a predetermined limit value is exceeded, a signal is emitted indicative of a fissure in the profile. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the method.

  • Publication number: 20040246095
Abstract: A security device (1) is disclosed, which permits the controlled access of authorised personnel to vulnerable security regions. According to the invention, the security device (1) is provided with a bus system (3), connecting a central control device to several actuators (4), each of which is allocated to one of the security regions (2). Access authorisation is monitored and controlled by means of a personal identification device (6).

  • Patent number: 6229420
Abstract: A proximity switch including a connector insert (4) and connection pins (4) are not securely connected to one another. Apart from a potting compound which fills the housing, the connection pins are held only by a printed circuit board. This permits easy assembly, and no forces are transmitted to a sensor element via the printed circuit board.
