Abstract: A foot transport device for fastening to a foot, in particular, a roller skate. The device has a sole portion 2 to which is affixed a plurality of wheels 22, 54 arranged successively in tandem along the longitudinal length of the sole portion. A removable stabilizer is arranged on either side of the sole portion to allow the unskilled to learn to use the device. The stabilizer protrudes laterally outwardly of the wheels. The stabilizer may comprise wheels 50 or an outrigger blade 62.

Abstract: The subject patient controlled analgesia (PCA) apparatus is mechanical/hydraulic and comprises a reservoir and a pump operable by the patient for dispensing medicine from the reservoir unto the patient's IV system in incremental doses. The pump capacity per stroke may be adjustable, thereby adjusting the size of each dose dispensed. Timing apparatus assures that a specific interval of time (the lockout interval) must pass between sequential dosage dispensations. Check valves in the passages for pumping the medicine and filling the apparatus are double in series to reduce chances of malfunction or misuse due to valve failure. The quantity of medicine in the reservoir is indicated.

Abstract: An apparatus for encouraging or instructing personal hygiene having a non-animated character figure of a substantially three-dimensional configuration and an audio producing means in combination with an electrically operated toothbrush. A toothbrush is supported by the character figure. Removal for use of the toothbrush activates the audio producing means for a defined period. The audio producing means recites a melody or message or combination thereof. The audio producing means will continue to operate when deactivated when the toothbrush is returned to the character figure or when the audio producing means is manually deactivated, however, when deactivated the audio producing means continue to the end of the message or melody then in progress.
