  • Publication number: 20100070421
Abstract: A data warehouse system for managing performance of organizations is provided. The data warehouse system comprises a data model for storing data representing dimensions and measures applicable for multiple organizations, and a configuration unit for setting the placeholders such that the data model represents the particular organization. The data model has placeholders settable such that the data model represents a particular organization.

  • Patent number: 7487000
Abstract: A system and method to provide navigation screens during remote control of devices. A matrix is used to relate button depression and navigation screen to a particular activity. Generic buttons on the remote control can be dynamically defined according to the content of the navigation screens and the configuration of the devices under the control of the remote control.

  • Patent number: 6663996
Abstract: A compression mechanism comprises a planar spring sheet having a plurality of openings rendering the spring sheet resilient. An electrochemical fuel cell assembly with resilient compression mechanism includes a plurality of fuel cell assemblies interposed between first and second endplates. The mechanism for securing the fuel cell assemblies in their assembled, compressed state includes at least one resilient compression spring sheet extending between first and second endplates.

  • Publication number: 20020086199

An electrochemical fuel cell assembly with resilient compression mechanism includes a plurality of fuel cell assemblies interposed between first and second endplates. The mechanism for securing the fuel cell assemblies in their assembled, compressed state includes at least one resilient compression spring sheet extending between first and second endplates. Each of the spring sheets urge the first endplate towards the second endplate, thereby applying compressive force to the fuel cell assemblies to promote sealing and electrical contact between the layers of the assemblies. Each spring sheet may be joined at one or both ends to another corresponding opposite spring sheet.

  • Patent number: 6168854
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a printed circuit board comprising a high density conductive pattern comprising at least one pad suitable for forming a solder connection with at least one surface mounted component. The method comprises the steps of forming the pattern; and forming a protective coating on the pattern suitable for soldering without solder resist adjacent the pad. The pad can adjoin land surrounding via hole, thereby increasing density of the circuit board layout. A further process for manufacturing printed circuits applies an etch resist to a conductive pattern, etches the pattern and uses the etch resist to form a protective coating on the pattern. The etch resist may be heated to cause the etch resist to form an alloy.

  • Patent number: 6057053
Abstract: An electrochemical fuel cell stack comprises a first end plate, a second end plate, and fuel cell assemblies interposed between the first and second end plates. The stack further includes a compression assembly comprising a compression mechanism and a restraining mechanism. The compression mechanism urges the first end plate towards the second end plate applying an internal compressive force to the fuel cell assemblies, even as the thickness of the fuel cell assemblies changes. The restraining mechanism prevents movement of the first end plate away from the second end plate by preventing deflection of the compression mechanism, which may occur, for example, when internal fluid pressure is increased.

  • Patent number: 6019123
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and kit for preventing freezing in pipes. In its most basic form, the apparatus of the present invention includes three lengths of uninsulated flexible ductwork, each having a pair of connectors attached to each end, and a T-shaped adapter having three openings which are dimensioned to mate with one connector of each length of ductwork. In operation, the first length of ductwork, below the "T", is fitted over the downspout of the system and comes to rest in the system piping pit, the second length of ductwork is attached to a central heating duct and the third length is attached to the water inflow. Thus, when the central heating system is in operation, air is forced down the second duct to the "T" where substantially half of the warm air is directed to the piping pit and the other half is directed along the length of the exposed piping.

  • Patent number: 5832218
Abstract: An electronic mail (E-Mail) server system is disclosed that is used within a client/server network system. Typically, the network system includes at least one client connected to a server. The E-Mail server system comprises a mail server, a client mail server, located within the client, and a log manager. The mail server, which is located within the server of the client/server network system, provides a plurality of E-Mail functions accessible across the client/server network system. The client mail server access the mail server and invokes the mail server to copy selected ones of a plurality of the E-Mail functions in the client mail server to enable the client to perform E-Mail composing while in a disconnected state from the mail server. The log manager logs all E-Mail activity performed by the user on the client while in the disconnected state and then performs reconnection and resynchronization between the client and server for replaying the logged activity for execution by the mail server.
