  • Patent number: 5340895
Abstract: Formed spherical polymeric complexes of metals of the 8th subgroup of the periodic system with ligands of an organosiloxane copolycondensate optionally cross-linked by means of cross-linking agents containing Si, Ti, Zr and/or Al (statistical, block-shaped or mixed). This copolycondensate consists of the units ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 -R.sup.4 =R.sup.5 -Si ##STR2## in which R.sup.5 =alkylene with C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 directly bound to P or N, cycloalkylene with C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 or ##STR3## The ratio between the number of moles of units (II) and the number of moles of bound metal atoms is 1:1 to 1.000 to 1 and the ratio between units (I) and (II) is preferably 10:90 to 95:5 mole %.The polymeric complex compounds are present macroscopically as spherical particles with a diameter of 0.01. to 3.0 mm, a BET surface of >0 to 1000 m.sup.2 /g, a specific pore volume of 0.01 to 6.5 ml/g, and a bulk density of 50 to 1000 g/l.

  • Patent number: 5187134
Abstract: This invention relates to formed, polymeric complexes of metals of the eighth subgroup of the periodic system with ligands of an organosiloxane copolycondensate optionally cross-linked by means of cross-linking agents containing Si, Ti, Zr and/or Al, in the form of statistical, block or mixed copolycondensates. The ratio between the number of moles of phosphine units and the number of moles of bound metal atoms is 1:1 to 1000 to 1 and the ratio between the amine units and the phosphine is preferably 5:95 to 95:5 mole %. The polymeric complex compounds are present macroscopically as spherical particles with a diameter in the range of 0.01 to 3.0 mm, a BET surface of greater than 0 to 1000 m.sup.2 /g, a specific pore volume of 0.01 to 6.5 ml/g and a bulk density of 50 to 1000 g/l. The invention also includes several methods of preparing the complexes with post-treatment stages and the use of the polymeric metal complexes as catalysts in organic chemistry.

  • Patent number: 5003024
Abstract: Organosiloxane amine copolycondensates as statistic or block copolycondensates or mixtures thereof consisting of the units ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 is ##STR2## and R.sup.6 is bound directly to the nitrogen atom or the double-bonding X group and is alkylene, cycloalkylene or ##STR3## in which n is 1 to 6 and m 0 to 6. The free valences of the oxygen atoms bound to the silicon atom are saturated by silicon atoms of further groups of formula III, optionally with the inclusion of cross-linking agents, X stands for ##STR4## in which R" is H or alkyl. In addition, preparation methods and the use of the products for the removal of dissolved metals from liquid phase or for the adsorption of gaseous compounds.

  • Patent number: 4845163
Abstract: New rhodium containing organopolysiloxane-ammonium compounds are described which consist of units of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are R.sup.5 --SiO.sub.3/2 (2), R.sup.5 is an alkylene group and the free valences of the oxygen atoms are saturated by silicon atoms of other groups (2), optionally with the insertion of cross-linking agents, R.sup.4 is hydrogen, an alkyl, cycloalkyl or benzyl group, x.sup.n-- is a complex monovalent or polyvalent metal anion of rhodium and chloride, bromide or iodide. Methods for preparing these rhodium-containing organopolysiloxane-ammonium compounds as well as their use as catalysts in reactions with carbon monoxide are also disclosed.
