Abstract: An auto-center barrel cam for small optical systems including an outer barrel having a first channel extending longitudinally where the first channel is tapered from an inner surface to an outer surface of the outer barrel at a first angle and an inner barrel within the outer barrel. The inner barrel including a second channel extending longitudinally along the inner barrel where the second channel is tapered from an inner surface to an outer surface of the inner barrel at a second angle. A cam follower includes a flexure part having a first section with a first surface and a second section with a second surface. A spring section pulls the first section and the second section toward each other. The flexure part is arranged to maintain the cam follower within a center of the first and second channels as the inner barrel moves in relation to the outer barrel.

Abstract: An endcap, e.g. for a linear luminaire. The endcap has projecting structure attached to and projecting from an inner surface thereof. The projecting structure defines at least two positions aligned with and spaced from one another along the inner surface. One or more crush ribs are connected to the projecting structure at each of the at least two positions. A trough is recessed into the inner surface of the endcap and surrounds at least a portion of each of the at least two positions. The trough provides space to receive any material that is separated from the one or more crush ribs when the endcap is inserted into a channel.

Abstract: According to various aspects, systems and methods are provided for tracking actions performed in various disparate talent platforms, and generating ratings for parties that use the talent platforms based on the tracked actions. Some embodiments provide objective ratings of hiring and staffing parties that are automatically determined based on stored data records of tracked actions. The hiring and staffing party ratings may build transparency of activity performed by the parties within the disparate talent platforms. This in turn builds trust among users of the online system.

Additionally, disclosed are three newly discovered single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the SE33 locus that can cause discordance seen as mobility shift or allelic dropout. Also disclosed are kits useful in human identification.

Abstract: A rotating bracket includes an endcap, a fastener, a support, a spacer, and securement structure. The endcap is adapted to fit an end of a linear lighting channel and has a keyed opening. The fastener has a keyed shank complementary to the keyed opening of the endcap and is adapted to be inserted into the endcap with the keyed shank of the fastener engaging the keyed opening of the endcap. The support has a slot or opening adapted to accommodate the fastener. The spacer is adapted to insert over the fastener such that it is positioned between the endcap and an inner face of the support. The securement structure engages the end of the fastener beyond an outer face of the support. Linear luminaires using the rotating bracket are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for delivering images to a patient before and/or during a medical procedure in which a patient is translated on a table relative to a gantry. In various example embodiments, images are projected to the patient while preserving the projected field size during table motion, thereby potentially reducing patient anxiety by providing a more immersive patient viewing experience. In some embodiments, the projected field size is maintained by a display system that is secured to the table such that both a projector and a projection screen are fixed relative to the table, and relative to the patient, during translation of the table. In some example embodiments, a reduction in patient anxiety may be achieved by projecting images as virtual images that are perceived by the patient as residing at a depth that lies beyond the confined spatial region in which the patient resides.

The process can include scanning an optical code at terminal device using a mobile device to determine creditor bank information. A debtor bank server receives the creditor bank information and provides a credit push request to a payment rail. The payment rail communicates a credit payment transaction request to a creditor bank sever. The creditor bank server identifies the terminal device and instructs completion of the transaction at the terminal device in an amount corresponding to the credit push request. The transaction is initiated at the terminal device. An authentication procedure for facilitating the transaction by communicating the creditor bank information is performed by the mobile device and not by the terminal device.

The three-sided enclosure may be open along a bottom aspect. An elongate rigid printed circuit board (PCB) carrying LED light engines is installed between the pair of sidewalls in slot structure defined on respective inner faces. The PCB may carry connecting structure staggered along the length of its underside. The PCB may also carry circuit components on its underside.

Abstract: A one-piece shield for temporarily covering the upper inlet of a downspout. The shield includes a single sheet of resilient material, with a pair of tabs that cooperate with a slot in the sheet. The sheet is rolled up to create a tubular portion. One of the tabs is turned into the tubular portion to block the passage into the tubular portion, and the other tab cooperates with the slot to keep the device rolled up, so that the tubular portion blocks entry of debris into the downspout. The device is unrolled after use, and stored flat.

Abstract: A method for assisting transactions preferably includes a relayer wherein the relayer maintains an orderbook, and wherein the relayer is specified as the taker on all orders in the orderbook. The method incorporates matching buy and sell orders into a single, atomized batch order, price adjusting for spread, and passing the gain from the spread to the second order in the orderbook.
