    Abstract: A single segment catheter has a gradually changing flexibility from a distal to a proximal end of the catheter. According to one embodiment the catheter includes a plurality of strands within the catheter tube wall which change in diameter between the distal and proximal ends to achieve a catheter having a more flexible distal end and a continuously changing flexibility along the catheter length with no joints or distinct changes in flexibility.

  • Wood head no hosel golf club

    Abstract: A wood head golf club is described in which the usual hosel is eliminated and provision is made for anchoring the graphite or other shaft within the club head within a rigid sleeve positioned therein, thus eliminating the objectional degree of rigidity imparted by the use of a hosel which extends beyond the clubhead. As a result a greater degree of flex and torque is obtainable from the shaft. The sleeve is preferably formed with an outwardly tapering shoulder which provides a space for cushioning material between shaft and shoulder.

    Abstract: The invention relates to the incorporation of swingweights within the club heads of metalwood golf clubs of the type in which the head is formed of a metal shell which encloses a rigid cellular core, wherein a weight in the form of an elongated cylinder is inserted into an opening formed in alignment with the shaft and hosel depending from the base of the hosel into said opening and is affixed at its upper end to a hollow club shaft.
