  • Publication number: 20250205413
Abstract: A negative pressure wound therapy device can include one or more fluid detection systems. A canister fluid level detection system can incorporate various fluid detection devices to communicate data relating to the fluid level of the canister. In some cases, a negative pressure wound therapy device can include a device housing, a negative pressure source, and a canister configured to be in fluid communication with the negative pressure source. The canister can include a canister housing configured to store fluid aspirated from a wound, a cap connected to the canister housing, and a fluid level sensor supported by the cap. The fluid level sensor can be configured to detect a completed electrical circuit when the fluid aspirated from the wound comes into contact with the sensor. An electronic circuitry can be configured to detect a state of the sensor and provide an indication of a status of the canister.

  • Publication number: 20240189500
Abstract: This disclosure is directed towards the use of intelligent disposables in wound treatment devices and systems, such as negative pressure wound therapy devices and systems and liquid jet debridement devices and systems for wound preparation. An intelligent disposable can collect, maintain, and store data to manage the entire device or system lifecycle. The intelligent disposable may include a control or processing circuitry, a transceiver, a memory, and a power source. The transceiver can be configured to wirelessly communicate with a computing device, such as phone or tablet. Any variety of data may be stored by the intelligent disposable, such as operational statistics, regulatory information, and past use information.

  • Publication number: 20140379448
Abstract: The present invention relates to an order management system for purchasing regulated products such as wine over the Internet. Currently, U.S. states require wine to be purchased directly from a licensed retailer or a producer permitted to ship the wine directly to the consumer. In a computer system, the present invention relates to methods for managing orders between a consumer and a wine producer or licensed retailer wherein the transaction is facilitated via a third party website, such as a wine club website. The methods of the present invention may also facilitate allocation of payments to a charity as part of the transaction, and for the use of split tender payments using virtual currency.

  • Publication number: 20130031232
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention provides a system for interfacing at least one requestor to at least one performer, wherein the at least one requestor is able to transfer electronic data, or portions thereof, ubiquitously with at least one performer, regardless of the format that the at least one requestor and the at least one performer manage their respective electronic information. In particular, the present invention provides a system, wherein the at least one requestor and the at least one performer update electronic, and/ or modify electronic information, or portions thereof, dynamically, in response to requests and responses from at the at least one requestor and the at least one performer. At any given time, any requestor may become a performer and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20070158240
Abstract: Coker heater operation is improved by on-line spalling of coker heater pipes. In one embodiment an off-line pipe is added to the on-line coker heater pipes. When an on-line pipe is to be spalled, flow is diverted to the off-line pipe allowing for full operation of the coker heater. In another embodiment, a thermal transfer resistant zone plate is movably mounted in the radiant section of the coker heater. By moving the zone plate from an operating position to a spalling position and adjusting the temperature of the plurality of burners, the temperature of the pipes in the zone of the heater radiant section to be spalled can be lowered, while the temperature in the remaining zones of the heater radiant section are fully operational.

  • Publication number: 20070055571
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing sales tax information. The information may be generated, for example, in connection with transactions involving financial accounts, such as a credit card account. The sales tax information may be received electronically from, for example, a merchant or a point of sale device. A determination may be made whether there is any missing sales tax information. If there is missing information a request may be generated and sent to a source having the information. The source may receive the request, retrieve the desired information, and transmit it to the requesting entity. The sales tax information may be stored and later retrieved for presentation to a user, such as the account holder. The account holder may use the information in completing a tax return.

  • Publication number: 20050119894
Abstract: The present invention involves methods and systems for providing feedback speech instruction. The method involves collecting data corresponding to a plurality of parameters associated with verbal and non-verbal expression of a speaker and analyzing the data based on an ideal model. The method also includes generating a report or an instruction responsive to the report, and delivering the report or the instruction to the speaker. The plurality of parameters associated with verbal and non-verbal expression includes pitch, volume, pitch variation, volume variation, frequency of variation of pitch, frequency of volume, rhythm, tone, and speech cadence. The system includes a device for collecting speech data from a speaker, a module with software or firmware enabling analysis of the collected data as compared to an ideal speech model, and an output device for delivering a report and/or instruction to the speaker.
