  • Patent number: 11073361
Abstract: A modular ballistic wall system uses a military standard shipping pallet as a floor. A wall frame is rotatably affixed to the pallet. The wall frame receives and supports a plurality of modular ballistic wall panels. The wall frame folds down against the pallet when the system is in a stowed position, e.g., during transport. The wall frame is generally perpendicular to the pallet when the system is in a deployed position. The modular ballistic wall panels can be solid metal ballistic panels, ballistic panels with firing ports, or ballistic glass.

  • Publication number: 20060058405
Abstract: Provided herein are catalyst combinations and processes useful for producing polyurethane foam products which have a greatly lessened tendency to emit vapors of residual amounts of catalysts, after prolonged storage of the foams even at elevated temperatures. According to one form of the invention, a reactive catalyst is used in combination with a polyol precursor wherein the polyol precursor has an unsaturation level that is below about 0.030 meq./g.

  • Publication number: 20060035990
Abstract: The present invention provides processes for producing re-bonded polyurethane foam constructs that are useful in applications such as carpet underlayments. According to the invention, a tertiary amine is employed as a catalyst either alone, or preferably in combination with other catalysts in a binder which comprises an organic isocyanate and a polyol. Inclusion of a tertiary amine as a catalyst dramatically increases production throughput.

  • Publication number: 20050245629
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions which are useful as catalysts in the production of polyisocyanurate foams. The compositions of the invention comprise N, N, N?-trimethylaminoethyl-ethanolanine in combination with one other catalysts useful in promoting trimerization of isocyanates. By promoting trimerization, isocyanate content of the foam is decreased which leads to a foam having better bum properties over prior art isocyanurate foams. Decreasing the isocyanate content of a foam should also lead to quicker de-mold of a molded foam because of reduced stickiness.

  • Publication number: 20050026775
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions useful for introducing metal carboxylate salts as catalysts into systems useful for producing polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams. The methods permit the introduction of such catalysts in the absence of substantial amounts of water which otherwise cause inferior foams to be produced. A method for producing foam employing the catalysts are also described.

  • Publication number: 20050027002
Abstract: This invention concerns a compound formed from a tertiary amine-carboxylic acid salt, where the carboxylic acid and tertiary amine are selected such that the catalyst salt is blocked at room temperature and becomes unblocked at an elevated temperature. The compound is useful as a heat activated urethane catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20050027044
Abstract: This invention concerns a process for the manufacture of a press molded material, comprising applying diisocyanate, polyol, and catalyst to a wood material, wherein the catalyst is a tertiary amine-carboxylic acid salt that is blocked at room temperature and becomes unblocked at an elevated temperature, and heating the resulting mixture to a temperature effective to unblock the salt to produce unblocked tertiary amine. The press molded material can be an orientated strand board (OSB).
