  • Patent number: 7642109
Abstract: A method of making an OLED device, including providing a substrate having a first electrode and a conductive bus line provided over the substrate and organic EL media provided over the first electrode and over the conductive bus line; forming a radiation absorbing structure associated with the conductive bus line; exposing the radiation absorbing structure to radiation to produce heat sufficient to ablate a portion of the organic EL media thereby forming an opening in the organic EL media; and forming a second electrode over the organic EL media, and through the opening in the organic EL media thereby forming an electrical connection between the second electrode to the conductive bus line.

  • Patent number: 7368207
Abstract: A method for dynamically registering multiple patterned layers on a substrate (3) comprises: depositing a first layer on the substrate; printing a first pattern (20) on the first layer; depositing a second layer on the first pattern; and printing a second pattern on the second layer while dynamically detecting the first pattern to align the second pattern with the first pattern.

  • Patent number: 5281812
Abstract: Beam scanning system includes a rotatable element for receiving a stationary light beam at successive element facets to thereby impart a scanning motion to the light beam so as to scan a beam receiving medium. Deviation in the mechanical or optical performance related to each successive facet are corrected by use of a high-speed beam deflector operated in either a closed loop or open loop servo system. The beam deflector includes a unique piezoelectric plate and reflecting body structure, wherein parallel plates of piezoelectric material are bonded at selected locations to a reflecting body with flexible adhesive. The plates are supported by a platform and operatively connected to a plate driving means to effect motion of the body in a push-pull arrangement with respect to the platform. The resulting structure has a high resonant frequency even though a reflecting body in the form of relatively large glass mirror may be employed.

  • Patent number: 5162929
Abstract: A three-color laser scanner using a holographically-generated plane linear grating disk (hologon). The disk includes peripherally-arranged facets having identical multiplexed diffraction gratings. Each multiplexed grating is formed from plural superimposed interference patterns accumulated by multiple exposures to light from a single monochromatic laser beam source. The multiplexed grating is optimized to diffract certain light wavelengths in a single, multichromatic (plural wavelength) input laser beam. The diffracted output beam comprises respective wavelength beam components that simultaneously scan in collinear fashion. Modulation of the plural wavelength components in the incident beam allows the output beam to scan expose a multicolor image at the image plane.
