The filter includes a sheet of filter media defining a body having an upper portion, a lower portion, a first end surface proximate the upper portion, a second end surface proximate the lower portion, and a first side surface extending between the first and second end surfaces. One or more of the upper and lower portions define a ledge, wherein the ledge defines a third end surface arranged between the first and second end surfaces, and a second side surface extending between the first and third end surfaces; and a seal disposed upon the ledge. A method for manufacturing the seal is also disclosed.

Abstract: A filter assembly for removing particulate contaminants from a fluid, comprises a annular filter element having first and second ends, a filter housing containing the filter element and having first and second ends and a substantially cylindrical side wall defining an annular space between the side wall and the filter element, an end plate secured to the first end of the filter housing and having at least one fluid inlet therethrough adjacent to the first end of the filter element so that the fluid enters the filter housing through the at least one fluid inlet and flows into the annular space, and a directional fluid insert having at least one of fm disposed between the first end of the filter element and the end plate. The fins provided to cause the fluid entering the filter housing through the at least one fluid inlet to swirl around the filter element.

Abstract: In a cutting device and, in particular, a device for cutting a flat object, such as a pizza, or the like, a base is provided which has two oppositely facing flat surfaces thereon. Each of the flat surfaces has scribed therein a plurality of straight slots which intersect to subdivide the surface into a plurality of segments. The segments may be pie-shaped, square, rectangular, or the like. A cutting instrument is drawn through each slot on one of said surfaces to cut a superimposed flat object, such as a pizza, into pieces.
