  • Publication number: 20210326825
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for continuously monitoring the health of a point-of-sale (POS) device, at a central location, and executing self-healing software from the malfunctioning POS device. The self-healing software may be stored locally on the POS device itself, occupying a small footprint and therefore easily be stored in and execute on both older and newer POS devices. Embodiments further describe a central server as coordinating both identification of the particular self-healing process to execute on each POS device as well as the timing of execution associated therewith.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 1, 2021
    Publication date: October 21, 2021
Inventors: Steven J. CHIN, Robert H. HENKE, Joseph C. ECKBERG

  • Patent number: 4231818
Abstract: A method of producing silicon steel strip from slabs is provided which includes the steps of reducing the slabs in a planetary mill to a thickness of 0.060 to 0.10 inch at a temperature above that at which MnS will precipitate, cooling to between 800.degree. F. to 1500.degree. F. and reducing the strip at that temperature to a thickness of 0.020 to 0.030.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 22, 1979
Date of Patent: November 4, 1980
    Assignee: Allegheny Ludlum Industries, Inc.
