  • Patent number: 11400775
Abstract: A trailer hitch assembly for use with utility vehicles that allows for adjustment of the height that a tongue of a trailer may be set. A telescoping sliding relation between a tubular post that is adapted to be joined to a towing vehicle and a shaft to which a hitch ball is joined and with a thorough pin for locking the two at selected extension lengths accommodates a variety of carts/trailers for use with differing models of utility vehicles. • Publication number: 20220234875
Abstract: An improved timber jack for raising and supporting logs off from the ground has an elongated lever arm handle member supporting a fulcrum at a distal end of the handle creating a lever of the first class. The novelty resides in having an arcuate fulcrum such that applying a force at a proximal end of the handle causes the fulcrum to roll on the ground as the log is being lifted. Less effort is required to lift a given load as compared to conventional timber jacks.

  • Publication number: 20190152089
Abstract: A jack for elevating logs from the ground comprises an elongated pole as a handle lever, the pole having a steel collar surrounding its distal end and terminating in a steel spike. Welded to the collar along an upper surface is a serrated rib. Beneath it is a wheel assembly that serves as a fulcrum. Proximal of the collar is a clamp for fastening a T-shaped stand to the pole. An adjustment bar is welded to the collar and to the clamp, the adjustment bar having a plurality of longitudinally spaced apertures extending therethrough. An arcuate claw member with a tooth at its distal end has its opposite end fastened by a shoulder bolt as a pivot to the adjustment bar at a selected one of the aperture locations to accommodate logs of different circumferences.

  • Patent number: 9676239
Abstract: A trailer dolly for joining a trailer to a towing vehicle has a frame mounted on an axle for a pair of wheels. The frame supports a hitch ball assembly that is positionable on the frame for allowing the tongue-weight of a towed trailer that is coupled to the hitch ball to be shifted from a position over the wheels of the dolly to a position that increases traction of the wheels of the towing vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20160159629
Abstract: A manually activated vehicle lift mechanism comprises a base and a vehicle support member with a generally two-piece, L-shaped, first-class lever pivotally connected to the base and forming the fulcrum point. The vehicle support member joins to an end of a shorter one of the legs of the L-shaped lever such that when its longer leg, i.e., its handle, is rotated in a first direction, the vehicle support is elevated. Rotation of the handle in an opposite direction again lowers the vehicle support.

  • Patent number: 9308894
Abstract: A fast-adjust trailer jack has three telescoping tubular segments, an upper, an intermediate and a lower. A lead screw is used to operatively couple the upper to the intermediate and a tension spring is coupled between the intermediate and the lower to normally urge the retraction of the lower into the intermediate. A spring-biased pin and hole based detent mechanism is employed to allow setting of the degree of extension of the lower tubular segment with respect to the intermediate tubular segment.

  • Publication number: 20110259621
Abstract: The present invention comprises a steel outer tubular sleeve cooperating with an inner steel rod that is dimensioned to slide relative to the outer sleeve. In a first embodiment, a steel slug is welded in the sleeve at its upper end and designed to strike an upper end of the inner steel rod. In an alternative embodiment, the steel slug is welded in the sleeve at its lower end and designed to be struck by the lower end of the inner steel rod. Completing the assembly is an attachment member that in the first embodiment is removably attached to the lower end of the inner steel rod and that in the alternative embodiment is removably attached to the lower end of the outer tubular member. The attachment member is designed to hold a stake of a given cross-sectional dimension.
