  • Patent number: 11943844
Abstract: A fluid heating element includes first and second conduits. The first conduit has a first inlet and a first outlet. The first inlet is configured to receive a first portion of the fluid, and the first outlet is configured to discharge the first portion of the fluid. The second conduit has a second inlet and a second outlet. The second inlet is configured to receive a second portion of the fluid, and the second outlet is configured to discharge the second portion of the fluid. The fluid heating element further includes an electrothermal coating associated with the first and second conduits and an electrical lead configured to apply an electric current across the electrothermal coating. The electrothermal coating converts the electric current to heat that is transferred to through the first and second conduits to the fluid.

  • Patent number: 10143919
Abstract: Systems, methods and articles of manufacture for creating out-of-game objectives for a computer game. Embodiments include determining user identification information identifying a user account within a computer game. Communications with a first physical device are established. In response to an in-game event within the computer game, embodiments configure the first physical device to detect a first out-of-game activity by configuring the first physical device with one or more conditions that are satisfied when data collected using one or more sensors of the first physical device exceeds a defined threshold value, and that, when satisfied, indicate the first out-of-game activity is completed. Upon receiving, from the first physical device, an indication that the out-of-game activity has been completed, embodiments affect one or more gameplay attributes of the computer game for the user account, based on the completed out-of-game activity.

  • Patent number: 8317606
Abstract: A video game development system is provided with live feedback to developers working with multiple game platforms or consoles. The system includes a communications hub module running on a hub server linked with two different video game platforms. A video game development tool is provided and linked to the hub module. The development tool is used to perform modifications to video game data including game asset changes and additions. An authoring module is associated with the video game development tool and operates after the game data modifications to transmit an authoring message to the hub module. The authoring message includes content reflecting the game data modifications and is formatted for receipt by the hub module. The hub module generates update messages from the authoring messages and forwards these messages to the video game platforms that operate to run a video game using the game data modifications.

  • Patent number: 5784979
Abstract: An adjustable load automatic releasing cleat for automatically releasing a rope or line at a predetermined tension load range. A rolling member (26) positioned adjacent to a cam member (30), releases the rope above the set tension range and recleats the rope below the load setting. The amount of load on the line activates the release and cleating mechanisms which are manually overridable.

  • Patent number: 4429625
Abstract: Conventional meat and poultry lifters are usually made from heavy wire and the like in the form of a frame so that the meat or poultry can slip out when lifted from the pan. Furthermore, the wire frame often cuts into the cooked flesh of the meat or poultry, making it sometimes unsightly and difficult to remove. The present device is stamped out of heavy duty aluminum foil and can be re-used or disposed of, as desired. It is formed into a sheet with handle grips at each end for lifting. It also acts as a baking sheet or tray and is provided with depressed areas which act to guide juices and fats to drainage holes through the sheet and into the cooking pan.

  • Patent number: 4406615
Abstract: An igniter for gas discharge pipes such as flare lines produces a remotely controlled flame. The igniter has a tubular housing that is mounted to the gas discharge pipe. A fuel line extends through the housing and terminates in a nozzle. A swirling device creates a swirling motion in the nozzle to prevent extinguishment due to high winds. An electrical system creates an electrical spark in the nozzle to ignite the fuel. An auxiliary line provides fuel unmixed with air to the nozzle to enrichen the mixture and provide coloration to the flame. The nozzle extends laterally from the housing. The mounting means allows the nozzle to discharge the flame across the face of the discharge pipe. A heat shield protects the upstream end of the housing from heat due to the discharge pipe.

  • Patent number: 4123023
Abstract: A system is described for controlling the movement of a vehicle over a guideway having a specified length. A signal is generated which represents a commanded absolute position of the vehicle on the guideway. A vehicle position transducer provides a signal having a value representing the actual position of the vehicle on the guideway which is compared with the commanded position to provide a position error signal. The speed of the vehicle is controlled in accord with the value of the position error signal. The commanded vehicle position signal is varied with time in a manner to provide desired vehicle motion characteristics including vehicle jerk and acceleration and deceleration values. The system also provides for a constant velocity control mode.
