  • Patent number: 4558856
Abstract: A holder for a vise for releasably retaining a pair of parallels against the jaws of a vise. The holder includes a spring body having a pair of elongated sides interconnected by a spring band which causes the sides to be biased away from each other when the ends of the band are brought toward each other. The outer end of each side has an end member pivotally mounted thereon, each end member having a flat outer face for engagement with a respective parallel to urge the parallel against the jaw of a vise when the body is in the space between the vise jaws. The holder is manually handled to position the end members against the parallels and to remove the holder from the space between the jaws of the vise.

  • Patent number: 4212233
Abstract: A blower unit for releasable attachment to the slotted front panel of a wall heater. The blower unit includes a blower having an inlet, an outlet, and a motor-driven rotor for generating an air flow between the inlet and the outlet. A housing is attached to the blower and has a first opening aligned and communicating with the blower outlet thereof for receiving an air flow therefrom. The housing has a second opening spaced from the first opening, and a pair of spaced projections are carried by the housing and insertable in a slot of the front panel of the wall heater for mounting the housing and thereby the blower in an operative position on the front panel externally thereof with the second opening adjacent to and aligned with at least one slot so that, when the blower is energized, air will flow into and through the housing and out of the second opening into the wall heater through the one slot to cause heated air in the heater to be forced out of the other slots of the front panel.

  • Patent number: 4047724
Abstract: An improved cart capable of being readily collapsed for storage and having front wheel means and a pair of spaced stair-climbing assemblies for moving the cart over a surface and for allowing the cart to move up or down a flight of stairs. The cart has a normally inclined main frame to which one or more open top wire baskets can be coupled by hooks thereon. Rear support structure for the main frame includes a pair of normally inclined, rearwardly extending rods pivotally mounted at their upper ends to the main frame and having articulated links to keep the main frame and the rods normally apart but which allow the rods to collapse and to move into positions near and extending along the main frame. The stair-climbing assemblies are pivotally mounted on the lower ends of the rods and respective links which normally hold the upper ends of the assemblies spaced from the rods yet permit the assemblies to collapse to positions extending along and adjacent to the rods.
