  • Publication number: 20210275364
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to absorbent article incorporating elastomeric laminates that may be formed by stretching and joining an elastic strand with either or both first and second substrates using an adhesive. The elastic strands may be sourced from a wound supply, such as a beam of beamed elastic strands. The beam may be treated with a control layer to reducing blocking when the plurality of elastic strands are on the beam and to provide for reliable unwinding. The control layer may be absorbed into an adhesive once the elastic strands are joined with the first and second substrates with the adhesive to form the elastomeric laminate.

  • Patent number: 9744706
Abstract: One or more implementations of a multi-layered bag with reinforced seals include an outer layer or bag and an inner layer or bag positioned within the outer layer or bag. The multi-layered bag further includes a draw tape positioned near the opening of the multi-layered bag. The draw tape can allow a user to at least partially close the multi-layered bag by drawing the layers of the bag together. The multi-layered bag further includes one or more tape seals that bond the draw tape to layers of the bag. The tape seals can be reinforced and include at least seven plies bonded together. One or more implementations further include methods of forming multi-layered bags with reinforced seals.

  • Patent number: 9469443
Abstract: A thermoplastic bag suitable for use as a liner for a garbage canister or trash receptacle may be made from a multi-layered thermoplastic web material. The multi-layer web material may include a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer. Under typical conditions, the layers may tend to block or adhere together to remain in their adjacent position. However, the layers may delaminate and separate from each other when sufficient forces are applied. Delamination of the layers allows the layers to move with respect to each other when the force is applied. The delaminating of the layers absorbs energy which may increase tear and puncture resistance.

  • Publication number: 20090072539
Abstract: In various embodiments, the present disclosure provides a method, device, and system for generating energy from fluid motion, such as from sea waves. In a specific example, the disclosure provides a device having a submersible housing having an inlet and an outlet. When submerged, the inlet faces toward the direction of fluid propagation such that the fluid is incident on the inlet. The outlet includes a one-way check valve to pass water flowing through the housing from the inlet. The housing further includes a turbine positioned between the inlet and outlet such that water may flow from the inlet, past the turbine, and through the outlet. The turbine is coupled to an electrical generator. In some examples, the fluid has a wavelength ? and the region of the housing between the inlet and outlet has an axial length of ?/2. In further embodiments, the device includes a plurality of inlets and outlets located at different axial positions on the housing.
