Abstract: A toy assembly that includes a remotely controlled vehicle is disclosed. In one embodiment, the toy assembly includes a remote control that can be used to control a toy vehicle. In one embodiment, the remote control includes a chip with pre-recorded content stored thereon. In one embodiment, the remote control can be coupled to an audio amplifier that can generate audible outputs. In another embodiment, the remote control can be used in a hand-held configuration.

Abstract: A fan powered by a controlled external energy source and a flow measurement device measure the airflow exiting or entering grilles/registers of an HVAC system without impeding the airflow being measured. A flow straightening element is preferably employed to overcome any effects of a non-uniform or swirled airflow profile on the fan. Preferably, the RPM of the fan is measured to determine the airflow. The RPM/flow calibration of the fan is insensitive to pressure differentials or the fan is a pressure-sensitive fan submitted to appropriate pressure differentials. Alternatively, the voltage or current supplied to the external energy source is used to determine the airflow. Finally, the pressure differential across the flow straightening element can be measured to determine airflow, eliminating the impact of pressure differential across the flow measurement device and fan.

Abstract: A method for the production of commercial quantities of highly purified interleukin-1 inhibitor (IL-1i) from a recombinant host is disclosed. A preferred recombinant E. coli host for use in this method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A decking or sheathing material for roofing includes a sheet of plywood or OSB with a reflective layer of foil material adhered thereto, the foil material including a layer of metallic foil such as aluminum and a kraft paper backing. The roof decking is fastened to rafters in a typical roof structure with the foil facing downwardly and exposed to air. A machine for applying the foil material to sheets of plywood includes a conveyer belt table for conveying the plywood sheets in succession, an adhesive roller for uniformly applying a layer of adhesive to the upwardly facing surfaces of the plywood sheets and a roller for pressing the foil material onto the adhesive-coated surfaces of the plywood from a supply roll.
