Abstract: A claim-based capitation model is proposed for handling vehicle repair insurance claims. Rather than determining a detailed estimate of the expected actual cost of repair, the estimate may be determined using a simpler model. For example, the insurance company and a repair facility may agree to following a predictive payment model in which the insurance company pays a fixed predicted capitated amount of money for each repair claim, regardless of the amount of repair work that will be needed. Alternatively, the insurance company may pre-pay a fixed capitated amount for a predicted number of future insurance claims.

Abstract: A vehicle for improved user authentication is provided. The vehicle includes a biometric sensor; and a controller programmed to initiate a biometric authentication of a user within a vicinity of a vehicle using data received from the biometric sensor, and responsive to occurrence of a secondary trigger condition initiated by the user to gain access to the vehicle, complete the authentication to grant or deny access to the user. A system for remote management of lockout states for a vehicle is provided. A server is programmed to receive a lockout notification from the vehicle, responsive to occurrence of a failed access attempt using an access modality, the lockout notification including contextual information with respect to the occurrence of the failed access attempt; and send, responsive to the lockout notification, an indication of an administrative action to be performed by the vehicle.

Abstract: A transfer key system for a vehicle may include a key receptacle configured to detect the presence of a transfer key, and a controller configured to receive key status signals from the key receptacle, and activate the transfer key as an active transfer key in response to the status signal indicating a removal of the transfer key from the key receptacle and receiving an authentication signal from a user.

Abstract: A bed foundation includes a frame and one or more panels positioned on top of the frame to define an upper surface of the bed foundation for supporting a mattress. The frame includes a plurality of rails which, when assembled together, at least partially define the frame. The plurality of rails are comprised of a thermoplastic foam that is lighter than wood or other similarly- or heavier-weighted materials commonly utilized in the construction of bed foundations, thereby facilitating easier shipping, lifting, carrying, and assembly of the bed foundation. The one or more panels can also be comprised of thermoplastic foam. The frame can further include a plurality of brackets to interconnect select rails of the frame. A kit for a bed foundation and a method of assembling a bed foundation are also provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to creating interactive avatars that can be pinned as world-locked artificial reality content. Once pinned, an avatar can interact with the environment according to contextual queues and rules, without active control by the avatar owner. An interactive avatar system can configure the avatar with action rules, visual elements, and settings based on user selections. Once an avatar is configured and pinned to a location by an avatar owner, when other XR devices are at that location, a central system can provide the avatar (with its configurations) to the other XR device. This allows a user of that other XR device to discover and interact with the avatar according to the configurations established by the avatar owner.

Generally, the system comprises a collapsible pod having a framework that can be expanded and collapsed using a hydraulic/pneumatic pack. The system may also comprise a computing device and display, wherein a user interface of the computing device may be manipulated by a user in a way that causes data of the system to be transmitted to said display and presented in a display user interface of said display. Security devices/methods of the system may be used to prevent unwanted access to the system and the data contained therein.

The system and apparatus reduce temperature, color, and yield variation within the ovens, and also reduce cooking times and power requirements. The system and apparatus use variable-width supply-air slots and dual, side-mounted return ducts to precisely control the airflow within the oven so that the air can be directed to the slowest cooking areas in the oven.
