  • Publication number: 20090114130
Abstract: A table top with a flip mechanism has a frame of two spaced apart legs, each leg having two pivoting wheels, a spine connecting each leg, and a table top hingedly connecting to the spine for rotation off the center of the table. The spine and table top extend upon the longitudinal axis of the invention. The spine has generally two parallel spaced apart members. The table top hingedly connects to one member and rests upon the other member when the table top is flat. Lifting the table from a longitudinal edge opposite the hinges, the table top pivots upon the hinges and rotates about the spine until upright. The upright table is then parallel to the legs and occupies a minimum footprint. Alternatively, the legs have wheels for easy movement of the table.

  • Publication number: 20070294117
Abstract: A system and method of computing an airline market index and an airline market index trading system. Embodiments of the airline market index being computed by selecting a set of airline routes and estimating a distance and fare for each airline route. An average seat mile fare for each airline route can be calculated, and then these values combined to calculate a multi-route average seat mile fare, from which the airline market index can be calculated. The airline market index can include airline market index contracts having prices and delivery dates as well as options contracts.

  • Patent number: 6007438
Abstract: A method of playing table tennis includes using a table comprising a rotating circular playing surface marked out in quadrants with adjacent quadrants being distinguishable from one another, a non-rotating net dividing the playing surface into two playing sides, a plurality of paddles, and a resilient ball; providing two teams of at least one player each; associating one team with a playing side and with a pair of opposed quadrants; and associating the other said team with the other playing side and the other opposed quadrants; determining a first serving team; the first serving team serving by propelling ball with a paddle against the playing side associated with the serving team and over the net directly into a quadrant associated with the serving team; wherein failure to do so scores a point for the other team; wherein each team alternately attempts to propel the ball with the paddles directly over said net into a quadrant associated with the team until one team fails to do so thereby scoring a point for t

  • Patent number: 5896574
Abstract: A wireless modem is provided with a passive power source using a first PCMCIA slot that is normally provided in mobile computer systems. Most mobile computing systems today provide for two or more PCMCIA slots. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention one slot is used by a first PCMCIA adapter that provides for baseband signal processing and power signals to a transceiver device. A second PCMCIA adapter card supplements the power signals provided by the first PCMCIA adapter card to the transceiver. The second PCMCIA adapter card occupies a second PCMCIA slot. The second PCMCIA adapter card supplements the power signals provided by the first PCMCIA card, permitting the transceiver to draw more current than that available from the first PCMCIA card. The transceiver and PCMCIA cards are interconnected by a Y cable in the preferred embodiment and a three connector housing in an alternative embodiment.
