Abstract: A door access device for a semi-trailer includes: a lock device to control access to the semi-trailer and a controller for the lock device. The lock device includes a door lock at a door of the semi-trailer, the lock device to be electrically actuated to lock and unlock the door. The controller programmed to: determine that a semi-tractor has established an electrical connection with the semi-trailer; determine whether the semi-tractor is authorized to connect to the semi-trailer; and, in response to a determination that the semi-trailer is authorized to connect to the semi-trailer, actuate the lock device to unlock the door.

Abstract: A coupling access device for a semi-trailer includes: a cover mechanism to cover an air hose coupling for pneumatic brakes of the semi-trailer, the cover mechanism to restrict access to the air hose coupling when in a closed position, and the cover mechanism to provide access to the air hose coupling when in an open position; a lock device to engage the cover mechanism in the closed position; and a controller to actuate the lock device to allow the cover mechanism to transition from the closed position to the open position.

Abstract: Maintaining information for a traveler includes creating a virtual travel credential containing information from a physical passport of the traveler and/or physical travel document(s) of the traveler, storing at least a portion of the virtual travel credential in a mobile device carried by the traveler, monitoring a location of the mobile device, and providing a signal in response to the mobile device transitioning from a first country/territory to a second country/territory. Monitoring the location of the mobile device may include detecting a cellular network in communication with the mobile device or using GPS functionality of the mobile device or receiving information that the traveler boarded a plane headed for the second country/territory. At least a portion of the virtual travel credential may be stored in a virtual travel credential server. The virtual travel credential server may communicate with the mobile device using a cellular network.

Abstract: This invention relates to a chewable lanthanum formulation comprising a pharmaceutically effective amount of a lanthanum compound; and at least one chewable pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. This invention also relates to a pharmaceutical formulation in a tablet or in a powder comprising a pharmaceutically effective amount of a lanthanum compound produced by a process which comprises the steps of: a) powder blending the lanthanum compound and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient in a mixer to form a mixture; or b) powder blending the lanthanum compound and excipients, compressing the resulting combination into a slug material or roller compacting the resulting combination into a strand material, and milling the prepared material into a free flowing mixture; and c)compressing the resulting mixture into a tablet or filing up the resulting mixture in a appropriate container.
