  • Patent number: 7932789
Abstract: A frequency adjustable surface acoustic wave oscillator uses circuitry in which the phase relationship between the corresponding input and output signals and the voltage applied to or received by transducer fingers is controlled in such a manner that the frequency of the surface acoustic wave oscillator is arbitrarily controlled over a wide range by digital means. This provides an oscillator that exhibits a wide tunable frequency range while providing low phase noise.

  • Patent number: 7389694
Abstract: An apparatus rides along a rail of a railroad track. A transmitter transmits ultrasonic guided waves bidirectionally along the rail while the apparatus and transmitter are moving along the railroad track. A sensor detects flaws in response to the transmitted ultrasonic guided waves while the apparatus, transmitter and sensor are moving along the railroad track. An electronic coupler operatively couples the sensor to monitoring equipment.

  • Publication number: 20070249239
Abstract: An electrical connector for clamping securely onto a threaded shaft includes a transformer bar, a connector body, a clamping component, and at least two columns for receiving streetlight taps. The transformer bar has a plurality of conductor bores, a distal end, and a bar top. The connector body is at the distal end and has first and second bosses at the bar top and first and second clamping sides. The clamping component is pivotally mounted by an attachment link to be selectively located adjacent one of the first and second clamping sides. Two columns are located adjacent the distal end of the transformer bar, protruding away from the transformer bar, one on each side, for supporting a streetlight tap and a redundant ground close to the connector body and a streetlight tap opposite the distal end.

  • Publication number: 20070074378
Abstract: A clamp for a cable having a housing with a first end, a second end, and an interior cavity to receive the cable. The clamp also includes a jaw assembly having a notch. The jaw assembly moves between locked and triggered positions within the cavity. A biasing member is disposed within the cavity to bias the jaw assembly towards the triggered position. A retainer is arranged within the cavity and has gripping fingers to engage the notches in the locked position. A trigger is positioned within the cavity. The trigger has an outer locking portion to engage with the gripping fingers to releasably secure the gripping fingers in the notches to retain the jaw assembly in the locked position. When the cable is inserted into the interior cavity and contacts the trigger device, the gripping fingers and notches disengage so that the biasing member biases the jaw assembly towards the first end of the clamp to clamp the cable.

  • Publication number: 20070069092
Abstract: A single bolt deadend anchor clamp for gripping a cable includes a body having a clevis assembly at a first end and a sagging eye at an opposing second end. A middle body extends between the first and second ends, and includes a reinforcing rib. A pocket is adjacent the reinforcing rib for receiving a keeper inserted above the pocket. A biasing member is disposed between the pocket and the keeper for counterbalancing a load between the keeper and the retaining groove. The biasing member is preferably a spring including a cross bar and two sets of coils.

  • Publication number: 20070029102
Abstract: A unitized core grip for an electrical connector includes a longitudinal shaft, a plurality of lobes connected by a plurality of web members, a generally triangular center bore, and a plurality of axial grooves. The core grip is defined by a plurality of longitudinally extending, circumferentially spaced lobes, spaced about a longitudinal axis. The plurality of web members are spaced between and connecting the lobes. The generally triangular center bore is defined by the interior surfaces of the lobes and the web members, prior to compression for receiving a cable.

  • Publication number: 20060027721
Abstract: A wedge clamp assembly includes a body having a body cable gripping surface, and a slider having a slider cable gripping surface. The slider cable gripping surface faces the body cable gripping surface to grip a cable. A connector is formed in one of the body and the slider, and includes a slot for moving the slider between closed and locked positions and an end portion formed on the other of the body and the slider. The end portion is axially slidable and rotatable in the slot. A coupling between the body and the slider pivotally connects the slider for movement between the closed position and an open position.
