  • Publication number: 20050154111
Abstract: Zinc carbonates such as carbonic acid zinc salt, zinc carbonate hydroxide monohydrate, zinc bicarbonate, zinc tetraamine carbonate, zinc ammonium carbonate, carbamic acid zinc salt and zinc carbamate can initiate hardening of polyurethane coatings and decrease the coating tack-free time. The decreased tack-free times facilitate earlier application of additional polyurethane layers and earlier return of a coated article to service, and can provide improved floor finishes.

  • Publication number: 20050153141
Abstract: Zirconiun carbonates can initiate hardening of polyurethane coatings and decrease the coating tack-free time. The decreased tack-free times facilitate earlier application of additional polyurethane layers and earlier return of a coated article to service, and can provide improved floor finishes.

  • Publication number: 20050154084
Abstract: A jobsite-renewable floor finish comprising a film former and an appropriate amount of a lightness-inducing agent comprising a core-shell polymer system or sheathed polymer system provides a translucent hardened finish layer having an increased lightness value (as evaluated in relation to an appropriate color space) and a cleaner appearance than a finish made without such pigment.

  • Publication number: 20050118940
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions including peroxyacetic acid and peroxyoctanoic acid and methods for reducing microbial contamination on poultry. The methods include the step of applying a mixed peroxycarboxylic acid composition to poultry.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 16, 2004
    Publication date: June 2, 2005

  • Publication number: 20050096245
Abstract: The present invention relates to two solvent antimicrobial compositions and methods employing these two solvent compositions. The two solvent compositions typically contain a second solvent that is not or is only sparingly soluble in a diluting solvent. The two solvent composition can form a clear single-phase solution. The two solvent antimicrobial compositions can reduce the population of microbes on various surfaces such as facilities, containers, or equipment found in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries at temperatures between about ?70° C. to about 100° C.

  • Patent number: 6878681
Abstract: Compositions and methods of the invention include: providing a wet fabric; contacting the wet fabric with a compound of formula (I): where X? is an anion, R, R1 and R2 are independently selected from (C1-C4)alkyl, or (C1-C4)alkoxy, R3 is a polyoxyalkylene chain of formula: where, n is 35-45; or a compound of formula (II): where R is a (C1-C25)alkyl, (C1-C25)alkoxy, (C1-C25)alkenyl, n is 1-50, m is 1-50; and removing water from the wet fabric.

  • Publication number: 20050061752
Abstract: An automated chemical application system for automating the application of a chemical to a target. In a first embodiment, an automated chemical application system connects to and interacts with an individual's existing sprinkler system. The automated chemical application system may thereby deliver concentrations of agricultural chemicals to different zones of the lawn via the sprinkler system. In a second exemplary embodiment, an automated chemical application system automatically mixes a chemical with water to dispense a precise amount of the chemical to a target.

  • Publication number: 20050054875
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the treatment of a plant gaseous stream containing odor compounds including hydrogen sulfide, an alkyl mercaptan or an alkyl thiol and mixtures thereof by contacting the plant stream with an oxidizing agent that reduces the odor but forms elemental sulfur. The elemental sulfur, and other inorganic, scales that form, or deposit, can be suppressed or removed using a specific aromatic substituted nonionic surfactant material. The use of such a process produces a significant improvement in odor quality while maintaining a clean process facility and low operating pressure drop.
