    Abstract: In order to prevent occurrence of an interruption of a transmission of a high-bit-rate digital signal due to specific signals during simultaneous transmission of the high-bit-rate digital signal and of signals of a standard telephone connection between a public exchange and a subscriber-side terminal, an information signal is output before the occurrence of such a special situation and, as a result of the information signal, the transmission of the high-bit-rate digital signal is modified in a suitable way for the duration of the special situation.
