Patent number: 8717422Abstract: Times of receipt of start-of-frame indications associated with frames received from multiple image sensors at a video controller are monitored. Time differences between the times of receipt of the frames are calculated. One or more frame period determining parameter values associated with the image sensors are altered if the time differences equal or exceed frame synchronization hysteresis threshold values. Parameter values are adjusted positively and/or negatively to decrease the time differences. The parameter values may be reset at each image sensor when the time differences become less than the frame synchronization hysteresis threshold value as additional frames are received at the video controller.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2010Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Gregory Robert Hewes, Fred William Ware, Jr.

Publication number: 20040236932Abstract: In a device having a central processing unit, a non-volatile includes a pre-boot program section including an upgrade section, a boot program section, and a functional program section. The pre-boot section includes a predetermined location. When an upgrade is requested, the upgrade program causes a preselected signal to be removed from predetermined location in the pre-boot program. When the upgrade process is complete, the upgrade program causes the preselected signal to be restored to the predetermined location. During execution of the pre-boot program section, when the preselected signal is not present in the predetermined location, then the pre-boot program causes the upgrade program to be executed. The pre-boot program is executed in response to a power on or a reset signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2003Publication date: November 25, 2004Inventors: Zhahong Zhang, Mark Edward Utter, Mruthyunjaya Shastry, Gregory Robert Hewes

Patent number: 4118795Abstract: Insulated gate field effect transistor charge regenerator amplifiers respectively cross-couple the output regions of a pair of two-phase CCD structures with the input regions of those structures. Each amplifier senses the level of binary data charge packets from the output region of one of the shift register structures and in response thereto applies a regenerated and inverted binary data charge packet to the input region of the other shift register structure. One of the amplifiers includes logic gating for inputting and outputting data into and from the shift register structure.A charge regenerator for a two-phase CCD structure comprising first and second shift registers. The charge regenerator comprises a source follower amplifier including a driver transistor, a load transistor and a positive feedback transistor connected between the gate and source of the driver transistor.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1976Date of Patent: October 3, 1978Assignee: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Robert Charles Frye, Alan Harry Katz, Charles Robert Hewes
