Abstract: Aspects relate to a power distribution network, such as in an a vehicle, including a converter configured to receive first electrical energy from a power generator and convert the first electrical energy at a first voltage to second electrical energy at a second voltage, a plurality of battery cells configured to provide third electrical energy, a plurality of loads configured to receive at least a portion of the second electrical energy and a portion of the third electrical energy, and a power distribution device configured to electrically isolate a first subset of the plurality of loads from the converter and direct at least the second portion of the third electrical energy from the plurality of battery cells to the first subset of the plurality of loads, in response to an indication of a degradation associated with the power generator or one of the plurality of power distribution networks.
