Abstract: A vehicle monitoring device includes a camera or other optical sensor configured to be disposed at a trailing end of a first vehicle system. The camera or other optical sensor is configured to output one or more images or video of a field of view behind the first vehicle system. The monitoring device also includes a controller configured to receive output from one or more sensors and to activate the camera or other optical sensor to output the one or more images or video based on the output from the one or more sensors. The output from the one or more sensors indicates one or more of a change in movement of the first vehicle system, a temperature, an acoustic sound, or movement of a second vehicle system.

Abstract: Antibodies and antigen binding fragments that specifically bind to P. falciparum circumsporozoite protein and neutralize P. falciparum are disclosed. Nucleic acids encoding these antibodies, vectors and host cells are also provided. The disclosed antibodies, antigen binding fragments, nucleic acids and vectors can be used, for example, to inhibit a P. falciparum infection.

Abstract: A composition and method for treating cancer in a subject in need thereof. The composition includes recombinant-methioninase-producing bacterial strains that upon oral administration can release recombinant-methioninase in the gut of the subject. The bacterial strains include Escherichia coli bacteria comprising the cloned rMETase gene from Pseudomonas putida using plasmid pATG3131, such as Escherichia coli JM109 strain. The bacteria can be incorporated in the microbiome of the subject and release the recombinant-methioninase.

Abstract: A system and method for providing dedicated storage through a secure internet connection in a remote location are disclosed. The system and method form an “anti-cloud system” by storing an end user's data only in a location over which the end user has both logical and physical control. Data within this system and method are stored on a primary block device and on a secondary block device that is mirrored at the start for redundancy and these drives are under both the logical and physical control of the end user. These specific block devices do not contain data from any other end user and therefore the specific end user is in possession of all copies. Should the specific end user wish to destroy all of his/her data, the destruction of the two block devices will guarantee that no other copies of his/her data are extant.
